EDIT 19-04-2025, So my plan was not to light the fire for a few weeks but we hit a cold snap and I had to light the fire, it did smell for the first few hours but I opened the doors and that helped. I've since lit the fire most days and have had no issues since that first day. Please see original review below.I was a little sceptical about buying this for my multifuel stove after reading the 1 star reviews, but I'm glad I went ahead with the purchase.I cook on mine and have a kettle constantly on the top during the winter so the top was looking decidedly the worse for wear. It had water marks and even rust on it.I waited for a sunny day so I could open the windows and doors and set to work.I sanded it down to a smooth finish, washed it and let it dry, protected all the tiles, door glass and floor and I was ready to go.It was so easy to use, went on smoothly and considering what this paint had to cover up I am really happy with the results even after just one coat.As I'm hoping not to have to light the fire now we are in April, I'll probably give it another coat just to make sure it lasts next winter.It should get a few months to cure so I'm fairly confident I won't have any issues with it smelling when I light the fire.That said I will come back to amend this review should I have an issue.

CHANGES COLOUR. NOT HEAT RESISTANT
Do not buy this product. U painted my stove with it. Every time we lit the stove it stank for more than a week. I bought an anthracite colour and it has faded to a light grey colour on areas of stove where it is hottest. Looks an absolute mess. I'm a painter to the trade so I'm so diasapointed with how it looks. Tried contacting company by phone and email but no reply. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
