Is the bottom of the helmet able to come off when not needed

Hi no the face part is all moulded onto the helmet I presume for safety. There are straps inside that adjust to head. We bought it it for our 7 year old grandson who is now turning 9 this January and it still fits him. He loves it and we are happy when he is on his bike knowing that all of his face is protected. Going to get his younger brother one who turns 6 in May. Hope this is of use to you have you asked the manufacturer for any info?

Hi, best thing to figure out the fitment is to measure your son's head using a tape measure , it should be between 54 -56 cm. My son's head is 54 and it is a bit loose on his head . But remember this is not for extream sports , it is just a normal cycling / skate park helmet
