Love my kitchen aid
LOVE my mixer. Having read so many reviews about people returning this product, I was hesitant. But happy to report it’s working great.

I Cannot Recommend this Mixer
I purchased this KitchenAid 7-quart mixer, in contour silver, at a sale price of $549. It stopped working about 3 minutes into mixing icing, only the second time I used it. Just STOPPED. I followed all of the troubleshooting guidelines, however, it still did not work. I checked my breaker, plugged it into different outlets, kept it unplugged for 30 minutes….all to no avail. There was no smell when it stopped. It wasn’t warm. I was just flabbergasted when it “quit”. I was so excited to be able to finally get this mixer. I had dreamed of having one for at least 20 years. I didn’t even get to use it for the tough jobs so many people brag about! I know this sounds melodramatic, but my dreams were sure shattered. I began the return process through Amazon. I saw an option of returning the defective mixer, and replacing it with another, same make and model. However, Amazon could not fulfill the request (no reason given) after I selected the option, probably because the mixer is no longer on sale. I will say, however, that the return process is seeming relatively easy. Luckily I had kept my box! FedEx will be picking it up at no (further!) cost to me. Packing the mixer back up was a beast of a job, but with my husband’s assistance, we were able to do it. As of right now, I am not sure I am going to order another one. I don’t want to go through that emotional turmoil again. I had been in the middle of making icing for my granddaughter’s birthday cake. Thank goodness my old, trusty Sunbeam Mixmaster got me through the remaining mixing. I did not review the ratings on this model before I purchased it because the KitchenAid (mixers) has always had such an outstanding reputation. I know people who have had their mixers for 25 years and they are still working perfectly. But now that I’ve had an opportunity to review the feedback from others on this particular model, I see that I am not the only one who had problems. It seems there are issues with the durability of the 7 quart mixer in general—many, many with this same exact problem. I’m not sure if it is just the batch that Amazon got or if other retailers have lemons too, but KitchenAid needs to do better. This was a tough disappointment. I was so excited when I received this beautiful mixer that I had dreamed of for so, so long. I can’t recommend a product that failed, therefore, my rating reflects that. This mixer failed during one of the easiest tasks possible for any mixer, let alone one that costs upward of $550.

Best mixer on the market...nothing compares to a Kitchenaid
The best mixer for anyone who likes to bake. Heavy duty and high quality. I already had one and bought one for my daughter in law for a wedding gift

Top best mixer on the American market
I can't say enough about this machine. My wife makes home made bread, so this machine is running all the time. We have owned it for about six months now and my wife couldn't be happier. I did toss the plastic accessories, and replaced them for stainless steel ones. For a country that complains about plastic contamination they sure import a lot of it. You can't buy a plastic straw, but all the new straws are (you guessed it) wrapped in plastic.

KitchenAid 7 quart bowl lift stand mixer
Love this!! I make large batches of sourdough and bagels regularly and this mixer does the job perfectly with no motor strain. Easy to use and clean. The bowl locks in nicely. It’s a lifetime kitchen tool that is well worth the money. Breads, desserts, or dinners are simple to make in this mixer.

Two mixers broken within two-three minutes.
Purchased a KitchenAid 7-quart mixer at the sale price of $549 on day one; died two minutes into mixing batter. I did the recommended troubleshooting process, plugged into other outlets, checked the circuit breaker & kept unplugged for a full day. Still did not work. I called KitchenAid, and they were willing to replace it but would take 6-8 weeks. They then offered to refund my money only after they received the mixer. I opted to return to Amazon as it was brand new. I really wanted a mixer for the holidays, so, on a gamble, I ordered a second mixer at full price, $649. With both, I added the Acurion insurance (Acurion refunded me right away). After dropping off the first mixer at UPS, I discovered that Amazon will not release $$ funds $$ until they receive the mixer. I did not know this when purchasing the second mixer. Now I am $1200 on hold on my credit card. Not only are my funds held, but the return is via UPS Ground, a slow boat. This KitchenAid 7-quart mixer must be a bad batch from the KitchenAid for Amazon. Very tough disappointment! I really hoped that the second one would have worked for me. With a 7-quart mixer, I opted to purchase from Amazon to get insurance, and I hoped the 7-quart would be more powerful for batched bread dough and large amounts of cookie batter. I did end up going to Costco for the smaller size 6-quart KitchenAid Mixer, and so far (two days in) it is working fine.

Much more useful than my standard Kitchen aid.
Much more useful than my standard Kitchen aid. A real time saver if you want to make more. I really appreciate that it can use attachments that are not coated in paint. The paint-coated attachments form my older model chipped. I did have to let the motor cool off when I was making a double batch of brioche dough, so I still have to make that recipe in smaller batches.

Dissappointment
My recently purchased Kitchen Aid mixer arrived faulty. It started and switched off after 2-4 spins. I am very dissappointed and I wonder why wasn't the mixer checked before sending. After all it cost a lot od money! One could expect more quality from this brand.

Perfect
Just made homemade butter she is absolutely beautiful worth every penny. Definitely worth a little bit extra to get the cast-iron color. She’s beautiful.

KitchenAid The name really does sell it for quality.
I have owned KitchenAid products for years and it's all I trust in kitchen appliances other than my Vitamix. I originally bought the grey professional model many years ago and it never quit working, I decided to upgrade my kitchenAid because the newer models have much better beater attachments, the originals before use I had to wipe them several times because of a black residue that was some form of oxidation on the dough hook and beater attachment. The color is a soft aqua and sits on my kitchen countertop for daily use. I do notice a softer sound to the motor when working dough, so that is an improvement from the older model. I gave my older kitchenAid to my neighbor with the many extra accessories I purchased through the years and it still works perfect. I highly recommend the kitchenAid mixer, I also would recommend to keep with the professional models as they are the best for dough making or anything that could work the motor. The Artisan models are less expensive but you truly get what you pay for, they are not as powerful.

Achat parfait!

My 3rd Purchase
I love mine so much that I am now supplying my children with one as they move into homes of their own. I own a red one and have since purchased it in Milkshake and Blue Velvet. So many beautiful colours to make baking that much more exciting. My KitchenAid is over 15 years old and still working like new. The Milkshake has been used daily for over a year now and it's been smooth sailing. We all use the cheese grater attachments, and one uses the pasta press attachment. I would definitely recommend.
