2004 Crown Vic
Fit my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria fine. As others have said, it doesn't "lock" like the factory oem cap, but it is firmly closed, so all good. Hopefully this will make by evap light go green.

Does not click into place. Junk. Go aftermarket.
Garbage. Save your money and just go aftermarket. This quick release style gas cap is purely a bad design. I've bought a couple from two different sellers, both were worthless. They will NOT CLICK like they're supposed to. There's an obvious fitment issue they refuse to address. This could be a quality control issue as well. This will not function properly in a 2000 mustang.

Purchased for 2004 Crown Vic. It twists about 1/4 turn to close. Doesn’t click. Have read that this is the way it’s supposed to work. Seems loose when opening the tank but it’s secure. It’s Ford OEM and matches the auto model by serial number so will call it good for now…

quality gas cap
fits 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. the check engine light came on, code indicated bad gas cap. installed the new Motorcraft gas cap, check engine light has stayed off. the new cap is identical to the factory cap. made of heavy-duty plastic, feels solid and durable. i highly recommended this gas cap.

Go With OEM - Not Aftermarket
Initially purchased an aftermarket gas cap for my ‘04 Mustang Mach 1 and within a full gas tank of fuel, the computer threw 2 codes that indicated bad gas cap. After using the Motorcraft gas cap, no more codes.
