Great stuff. Gives my hair a really nice softness and a bit of shine, which is what I was hoping for as I grow out some old dye. Left it for around five minutes and that was enough to darken my lengths to match my roots (or thereabouts). It almost stained the shower the first time I used it (I was quick to wash it off) but the next time I made sure my hair was towel dried before applying, and this stopped any splashing. Wearing gloves a good idea too.

I have searched long and hard for a wash-in colour to cover the first of my grey hairs (I have quite a lot of grey around my temples and fringe). Most products seem to turn my grey hairs yellowy but this is fantastic as it enriches my dark brown hair and leaves my greys a really natural lighter brown. Perfect highlights without making me feel old! My teenage daughter uses it to cover up some bleached highlights she didn't like. Works well on her hair too. I bought one bottle and have now stocked up on loads more. Cheap and very cheerful.

I used to box dye my hair dark brown for years and finally, in 2020, got my hair back to its natural medium brown. however, i do miss the darker hair and had a good experience with a salon gloss one time. this is a great and affordable alternative to dying your hair. i use it approx. every 2-3 weeks to refresh and it darkens my hair a good amount. i typically mix it with a bit of my regular conditioner- the first time i used it i felt like my hair was dry afterwards (for reference i have shoulder length, fine hair with fringe). the only drawback is that it does kind of weigh my hair down when i use it (i wash my hair every other day typically) but i just plan around it and make sure my hair doesn’t need to look its best the day after which works since i don’t use it weekly.
