Brilliant!! stopped our corn snake from further escape attempts! daughter added a huge fluffy red heart keyring to the key to help identify the key was in the lock and doors where safely locked, no more sleepless nights for me!

Works after it's been straightened...
Absolutely no instructions on how to install which left me stumped. Came in a little plastic bag too.Once installed, it's crooked in a way that makes it difficult to open and shut the door (without the lock even on!) and was a bit too long for my doors but after straightening it out and adjusting it, it seems to work okay now.

Scratched my glass
The lock its self works.Payed ยฃ155 for the glass on my home built vivarium.On the 1st day of using this lock, I now have a scratch right across one sheet of glass.Other than the damage its now caused the lock itself works so giving 3 stars for that.

A real disappointment. Such poor quality.First impressions out of the bag, silver flacking off the metal, very cheap keys.On trying to fit, one screw/bolt was a loose fit but it did at least fit. The other screw/bolt was badly machined, no matter how it was positioned it would not fit in either tapped hole. FAIL. I seriously considered returning it to Amazon. I then tried the locking part, which slides up the flat notched bar. If you lock it, and pull with medium force, it just slides away over the notches. FAIL.As mentioned in other posts, this would only work on glass that's (AT LEAST) 5mm apart.It is usable, as I've found, if you tap a new threaded hole for the bolts, then file the teeth to allow the lock to grip the notches, fit some felt to stop the main lock from scratching the glass, oh and wire brush the flaking silvered finish.Best avoid.
