Extech LT40 LED Light Meter

Sturdy and reliable little light meter. Has become my reference light meter. Switches off automatically after 12 seconds but you can override this by pushing on the on/off button for 5 seconds. Automatic ranging very handy. Does not remember your preferences like in my case I am interested in the maximum value during a session so I have to remember to push the max button each time. Struggles in low light less than 5 lux due to the smallness of the sensor, so you cannot measure moon light.

The only lihgt meter with all that we we're looking for. We love the options and different light bulb settings that are programmed into this meter.

For the price, works great. Purchased this for use in acquiring night light meter readings on roadways. It allows for lux or foot candle measurements. The instruction manual covers the quirky min/max average function. Otherwise, it did a great job on the jobsite. The included bag provides for good storage and the device is sturdy and works good in a commercial environment. The only issue is there is no back light, which made night readings a little difficult. The fact that the light meter was integrated into the device meant there was no additional wires to manage.

A great product at an incredible price....might have to wait awhile to find it at the sale price again...A very good LED light meter ....
