BOLANY Bike Cranksets 170mm Hollow Integrated 104BCD Single Speed Round Chainring 34T/36T MTB Crankset with Bottom Bracket

It's really hard to fault these things. I've been using these crank kits and the 2x version on so many bikes by now and if you have a vintage bike, this is a SPECTACULAR upgrade. Increasing the rigidity of the bottom bracket on an old 90's mountain bike genuinely transforms the ride feel. They're DURABLE, they are smooth, the value is unbeatable. Fit and finish is excellent. Don't forget to use anti-seize on the threads. Please god don't forget. the cups are labeled, but remember the drive side is turn LEFT to tighten. The only caveats I'll give are these: 1.) the included bottom bracket is not bolany's nicer one. It has great bearings and rolls great, but you do need to use all the spacers included with it if you are upgrading an older bike. 2.) it's pre-greased nicely but the O rings it slides into, even with extra grease, are TIGHT. So it did require a few taps with a soft mallet (or a block of wood against it and tapping that with a metal hammer) But once it's in, it spins great. Overall, this is just the no-brainer for a cheap 1x conversion. And the bolany 2x as well for a two speed. However, if you want a more premium setup, the shimano deore m5100 crankset is only about $55-60, and paired with a bucklos BBH M530 that's $13, and you've got a nicer setup for only a little more money.

Good crankset so far. It's basically a SHIMANO ZEE but half the price. Item comes in a nicely packaged box. My biggest fear was that this thing would fall apart but so far everything seems to be solid. I put over 100 miles on it. I converted my old 8-speed 3x to a 1x. Old crank used a square taper BB. This one appears to be hollowtech II. One thing to note is that the BB comes with two spacers and you're supposed to use one spacer on the drive side if your bike frame accepts a 73mm BB. But that caused the chain to fall off from the crank when I was in the lowest gear (largest cassette ring) in the back because the chainline was too crossed. So I had to remove the spacer and no more chain drops. I went with 36T chainring version and it seems to be adequate. You'll run out of gears when descending on pavement. If you don't want that to happen you can buy a 42T chainring. Chainring is narrow-wide type.

Bottom bracket and combo works really good. Holds up to all types of writing.

I bought this crank to convert my vintage mountain bike to a big bmx I rode it about four times popping wheelies and jumping a few curbs and the threading broke do not buy this if you are a serious rider

Habe ein altes Trekking Rad mit 3*10 Gang Schaltung. Fahre damit in der Stadt um im hügeligen Umland. Meine Verzahnung der Kurbel kam in die Jahre. Ich habe jetzt die 1 fach Kurbel mit 36 Zähnen verbaut und bin mit der Übersetzung sehr zufrieden. Passt perfekt in den Rahmen, neues Lager ist inklusive. Bisher 250km gefahren, Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nicht bewerten. Schaltvorgänge aber sehr zügig und ohne Probleme. Nach jetzigem Stand würde ich die Kurbel wieder kaufen.

Irgendwie funktioniert die Kurbel echt super. Für meine Anwendung sogar viel besser als die große Konkurrenz aus Japan. Verarbeitung top, würde ich wieder tauschen. Um es einzuordnen, ich hatte vorher eine XT.
