Purchased to replace a Braun Series 3 that lasted 2 plus years before the battery would no longer hold a charge. Had to upgrade to this series 5 to get the same features. It is well made, easy to adjust trim levels, with good battery life. The accessories are easy to attach and work wellMost importantly it does a great job of evenly trimming my beard. It is worth the additional cost of the Series 3.

This is the second one of these I have owned. The first the adjustment dial fell apart afer 2.5 years of service. I actually only use it once every 1 to 3 weeks, so was disappointed in the break but didn't have time to research and choose a different one. I had owned Norelco's before it with one that lasted 2 years and one that last 8 years. I switched from Norelco because of the one that lasted only 2 years.That said, this trimmer is effective at keeping my beard decently groomed. Depending on time of year and my time, I use it to trim my beard down to even it out or shorten it about once every 1 to 3 weeks. In summer I might use it once a week or two weeks to keep it shorter in warmer weather. In winter or when I'm very lazy then its once every 3 weeks or so. This trimmer is effective at that - though the longer the beard and the shorter you take it, the more passes that are needed. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't really irritate my skin. It is as quiet as a shaver is expected to be. I really only use a few of the accessories... the storage pouch and shaver holder (should come standard, not really accessories), the long beard trimmer, and the eyebrow trimmer. They are work decently. The blades are sharp and have no trouble, though I am not cutting a long, thick, heavy beared. The battery life is very good - never an issue and I recharge every 3 to 5 uses. Its compact, portable, and like I said stores grreat in its zippered holder - that should be standard item that come with it. I hate that they sell multiple levels of accessory packages because I have to make sure which one comes with what I want, they should just sell the bare bones unit if you are replacing and still have everything or the full accessory one. The plastic pieces can't add that much cost. And speaking of cost, I do think these are overpriced, but all the decent ones seem to be.

Excellent trimmer for beards. It has several adjustable settings and holds a charge for a couple of weeks. Light weight and eacy to use.

I have had several beard trimmers over the years. The Braun is the best one yet. The hair guide works better in directing the hairs into the cutting head. I especially like the large range of hair length adjustment with just the turn of a dial. It also comes with a nose hair trimmer which works better than to others I have had. The other attachments work well, but I do not use them normally. It also came with a blade razor (which I never used) but I wish it came with a foil shaver instead. Over all it is a great beard trimmer. I highly recommend it.

I was looking to replace my Braun Cruzer 6 Body. Great unit, unfortunately it couldn’t charge any longer. I really should have tried to fix it. I tried searching for a similar product, and this was one of the options that came up.Purchased item. Tried item, and the blades are really sharp. Cut my self. And currently in pain. If you are looking for a Body trimmer, this is not the one. Pass on this item.Value not worth it. Very light and compact. Easy to clean.

I usually don’t write reviews even though I order from Amazon 20-25 times a month, but I had to for this trimmer. Before this one, I bought 4 other trimmers from different brands, some more expensive, some cheaper, all with good ratings. I returned every single one.One had a metal blade (back side not covered with plastic) that burned my skin after 10 minutes of trimming. Another took 20 hours to recharge (not mentioned in the description) and couldn’t be used while plugged in. One came used with hair in it. The last one didn’t have a 0.5mm setting, and without the guard/comb, the blade was so sharp it irritated/cut my skin.Finally, this 5th trimmer was perfect, no problems at all (none of the above). It took me 4 weeks to find a good one. Almost lost hope to find a good trimmer until I got this one and this is why I took the time to write this review to help other people facing similar problems with other trimmers

I had a set of clippers made by another company that lasted almost 10 years. There are a ton of options available for beard/body-hair trimmers, and it can be difficult to decide what to buy. So far, these have worked really well for me. The length selector is easy to use, and the trimmer cuts smoothly without pulling. My only very mild issue is that cut hair can build up between the trimmer and the blade guard, so I need to stop every little bit to clear it out. Otherwise, I've been very satisfied with the build quality, battery life, and overall performance.

It's a good trimmer. Solid and very good to have the Precision Wheel that makes for stable reliable cutting distances. Nice choice of accessories. With a powerful Li-Ion battery and good cutting blades it should go the distance.
