SUPERB SOUND QUALITY BUT COULD BE LOUDER
Can't assess durability as I only just unpacked them, but build looks good enough if you're not heavy handed. Very comfortable, fitted me immediately on the smallest adjustment. As I'm a normal size bloke that means a tiny lady with a tiny head would need to wear a hat or the earphones would come down to her neck. They took me by surprise with the sound quality which is excellent for the price, picking up nuances of music more expensive phones miss. Would prefer they went a bit louder, just for those tracks you like so much you want your eardrums to meet in the middle. Overall very happy with these headphones.

Better than some costing twice the price...
I've bought eleven pairs of headphones. Ranging from a fiver to a couple of hundred, from many varied manufacturers. No, I was not on a wild goose chase. I wanted to try them all so I could make an educated assessment. If you don't try them, you just do not know. So the only way to find out is to try them properly. The marketing propaganda is no help whatsoever. For instance Roland state they are Over-Ear. No they're not. They're On-Ear. Maybe Japanese ears are a different size to European ears. The bottom line... These are the ones I use. They're better than many costing twice the price. They're lightweight, comfortable, with really good sound reproduction. Good highs and lows, they work well.

Almost fantastic
I'm writing this as a previous owner of many different headphones in the past, including brands like BeyerDynamic, AKG, V-Moda, Sennheiser, Sony, and smaller brands like OneOdio, Tribit, and others I can't even remember. Prices of the above have ranged from as low as £20 to as much as £200, so I think I have a fair grasp of how a decent pair of consumer headphones should sound and feel. Although these are aimed mostly at Roland instrument users, I bought these for music and TV/Film use. Sound quality is excellent for the price, certainly better than headphones double the price, or even more. Bass is nice and tight, not boomy and doesn't interfere with the higher frequencies. Mids and highs are nice and clear, not tinny at all and not drowned out by the bass (as you would expect from neutral headphones). Listening to music is a pleasure, from sub bass all the way up to the top frequencies everything is clear, vocals are great which is where some headphones fall flat, especially those that are tuned for more bass. Listening to TV and films is just as goo., I just returned a pair of Sennheiser HD 599's as listening to speech was horrible with them, I found myself having to rely on subtitles in some instances as I couldn't hear what people were saying properly. No such problem with the Roland RH-5's. Speech is crystal clear, while things like explosions still gave a nice boom. I'd rate the sound quality of the Rolands better all round than the £100 HD 599's, which was a nice surprise. As 'neutral' headphones go, these sound very good. Soundstage is decent for a cheap pair of closed back headphones too, though not quite up there with a nice pair of open back headphones (but again, these were better than the Sennheiser HD 599's in that respect too). Another nice thing I found was if you tap the cable the sound doesn't travel up the cable, resulting in it felling like you're tapping on the headphones themselves. That's a problem I have found with many budget mostly plastic headphones. I am glad to say these don't suffer with problem. They are also very light, which is usually good for long sessions wearing them... BUT, here's the downside - So, being so light you would expect extented use to be fine, however they are let down when it comes to comfort. Firstly, they are advertised as 'over-ear' headphones, however they are not. They are too small to be over ear, and too big to be on ear (I have normal sized ears, maybe even slightly smaller than average). They sit awkwardly on my ears due to the strange size of the ear pads so just don't feel right. This also means there isn't a good seal between the headphones and my head. There are a few reviews saying they fit around the ears fine, I can only assume most of these people have exceptionally small ears! Secondly, the thin faux leather material on the ear pads is irritating, not comfortable at all (possibly because the way it is creased/pleated. This is not helped by the rather thin foam padding. I have ordered a pair of replacement ear pads that have more foam and nicer material, hopefully this will resolve some of the comfort issues and create a better seal between the headphones and my head. Build quality is what you would expect for pair of cheap but good sounding headphones. Most of the cost of these has gone into sound quality. They are plasticky, but time will tell if they break easily (plenty of reviews have said they break easily, but I don't know how well they have been treated). Really this should have been a 3 star review because of the strange size ear pads, uncomfortable material on them, and the cheap plasticky feel, but the fact they sound so good convinced me to give them 4 stars.

So far so good!
I've been using these for a couple weeks now and am very pleased with this purchase: - Comfort: Very comfortable. The ear pads are large so easily fit comfortably around the ear and not on it. - Weight: They are pretty lightweight. They are a teeny tiny bit heavier than my old Senheisser HD201s and than my JVC HARX500 - but only a tiny bit. - Quality of build: Upon initial impressions, the build quality looks like high quality. The headband is cushioned all around and the overall it has a feel of good quality unlike some headphones which feel a little cheap and plasticy - these feel a little more sturdy. I am aware that the headphone pads surface are made of the exact same cover material that my old Senheisser HD201s is made of, and from my experience this kind of material starts to crack and crumble after about 2-3 years of use. Hopefully these will hold up better - we'll see! - The wire: The wire comes out of one headphone (the left one) and not the other (unlike the Senheisser HD201s where a wire comes out of both sides). The wire is fairly thick compared to the other headphones I own, which makes the wire a tiny bit heavier too if you have it resting on your body. But on the other hand, a thicker wire may just be a sign of better quality. My Senheisser HD201's thin wire ended up splitting after 2 years of use - maybe these will hold up better? We'll see! - Sound quality: I'm very happy with the sound quality. Each headphone has a slightly different balance of sound to it, and it's hard for me to tell you which is "better" but these sound good to me! I use them for watching videos, movies, listening to music, podcasts and more - and they work really well for all my needs. - Overall: Very pleased with these so far. My number 1 factor that I care about is comfort and these are definitely comfortable to wear for long durations, which is perfect for me. Fingers crossed they'll last a good long while!

Really good headphones, good value with a long lead.
These are really good basic headphones. I play keyboards and I bought them for practice at home with a Korg synth, the sound quality is excellent and they feel very comfy to wear, I think for the price they're probably as good as you can get without spending a lot of money on higher end headphones.

ARRIVED NEXT DAY, EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY
Ok, so I've been mmm'ing and rrr'ing about what headphones to get for a good while after my old phones packed in. And I decided if I wasn't happy I hadn't spent an arm and a leg on these so couldn't go to far wrong. Well as stated I the title, they arrived the very next day after ordering wich is always a bonus as I hate waiting for things I need. And as for the sound, they truly are flat! Exactly what I need as I produce music in my home studio. Brilliant sound quality and at £22.50 they are an amazing purchase. When I first put them on my head I thought they felt quite loose, but they're actually perfect as they just hug your head enough to not hurt after a while of use. Also the only thing I can say so far as ive only had them for a day, is the cable is very long, more than long enough for most studios, unless your in a large hall or the other side of a football pitch. Anything else I can think of it will add as and when, but a hands down 5 stars from me so for.

Too small painful to wear
These were too small for my ears. They were very painful to wear. It's a shame because they sounded absolutely incredible and for the money. I think it's very impressive but they aren't for me. I am a a regular sized man if that gives you any hints as to whether they fit you or not!

Overall ok, fit might be a concern for the smaller population
Sound seems ok, quite bright with my Roland td17kvx. Good cable length. Cable goes to left ear. Seems to be minimal passive noise isolation but it's fine for me. One potential issue would be the fit. I'm a 180cm tall adult male with a bit of a fat head and they do not feel snug.

電子ドラムでの使用
電子ドラムで使用。 同じローランド製品で相性もいい。 コード部分が長いため演奏時に長さを気にする事なく自由に演奏出来る。 音質も問題無しで総じて購入して本当に良かったと思っています。

Suono pulito
