Is the grass harmful to small livestock (rabbits and guineapigs) once the lawn has treated?

Sorry. I don't know the answer to that question as I don't have any small livestock. However if garden birds are anything to go by there seems to be no ill effect at all. I regularly have Robins, Blackbirds, Wood Pigeons, etc. pecking about on the lawn. They were there weeks before I started using the Iron Sulphate treatment on the lawn, during the process (which, I must admit, did alarm me because I wasn't sure if the treatment would harm them in any way) but, I'm pleased to say, they are all still around today. For garden birds and even a squirrel that unfortunately regularly visits the garden to dig up parts of lawn looking for buried food, I can honestly say, there have been no ill effects at all. The wildlife, I'm pleased to say, is still going strong.

Can this be used to kill moss on soil and rocks etc

Yes it certainly can. Moss turns black and dies in anything from 1 hour to 24 hours. However, on hard surfaces it will stain a rusty colour and this would probably happen to the rocks also. Some would say the rusty orange staining adds character but its not to everyone's liking.

can I still compost the grass after this has been used on the lawn?

I would not advise this as the iron sulphate would cause damage to plants if you used the compost, also don't compost the ist 4 cuttings as that will allow the bulk of the iron sulphate to be removed from the lawn
