Is the string safe as my bunny ate it the first day?

Hi, the cord is a natural jute which is now one of the more common and popular cords for hanging treats and toys. It spun from a dried plant and it is composed mainly of cellulose and lignin, so would be similar to your pet eating straw or wood they had gnawed on. Rather like straw most rabbits might chose to chew on the jute, but as it’s not very palatable most would not chose to eat it, but if they did then just with other tough plant materials, like hay and straw, they will grind it down with their molars to help with digestion. There is some suggestion that rabbits who do chose to eat these tougher, less palatable fibres (including carpet fibres) might be lacking hay/fibre in their diet.

I dont see why not. I got it for parakeets, good for them and their beaks. Rats need to chew for their teeth plus its good for them. It is very solid.

is this safe for horses? If it is pure salt it is but if not I would like to know...

I dont think so, its small and they'd choke. Best stick to horse salt links.

Is this suitable for hamsters?

It's probably OK, but I wouldn't give it to them. No small animal actually needs these if they have a good diet. It would be easy for hamsters to overdose on salt as they are so little.
