The IET Wiring Regulations are of interest to all those concerned with the design, installation and maintenance of electric wiring in buildings. These changes include (but are not limited to) amendments in the following areas: Consumer units (to come into effect January 2016) Wiring in escape routes Changes to earth fault loop impedances for all protective devices Updated EIC and EICR forms Changes to definitions throughout the Regulations Amendment 3 published on 5 January 2015 and comes into effect on 1 July 2015. All new installations from this point must comply with Amendment 3 to BS 7671:2008. Review: Great for the regs, great for avoiding nookie, rubbish price - Purchased as it was needed as all us electricians need to stay up to date. Unfortunately its now starting to seem like the IET are taking the michael out of us as a captive niche market. Its definitely over priced. Maybe every 5 years or so for the price but if you are reading this IET, if you are updating and republishing as often as you are at the moment then you should be offering discounts to previous purchasers or reducing the price? Isn't there going to be another edition (18th) sometime in the next 12 months? On a very plus note, the other night my dearest other wanted to fumble and play for the second time this year. I had a great time reading this the her whilst we had snuggles and pillow talk and whilst I was riveted to read the requirements of socket outlets in caravans my dearest other fell asleep! Job done mwahahahahaaaaa that'll teach her for getting ideas......................... Review: This wasn’t just “new” it was pristine. - This came before time and was as if it had just come from the printer.

Great for the regs, great for avoiding nookie, rubbish price
Purchased as it was needed as all us electricians need to stay up to date. Unfortunately its now starting to seem like the IET are taking the michael out of us as a captive niche market. An essential reference.
What can one say - it's an essential book for the Electrician's bookshelf. As a reference book it's ok... seems firmly bound as none of the pages have fallen out yet. I think it's a bit pricey, but they the IET is probably taking advantage of us Electricians who have to have this book in order to maintain their certification. Let's hope there's not another amendment in the near future so that I don't have to buy another for a few years!

Useful Book!
Bought this for my Sons' who are in their final year at College in Electrical Installation. A bit expensive, hence the reason they are sharing at the moment!!, but will be purchasing another when they come to sit their exams. Has everything they need to know in it & a good reference book for future use!
