Great idea for a unique present, grandparents were chuffed with these and also include questions and prompts for the writer to complete.

Excellent buy

This is a very clever idea - to write down memories of one's childhood before they get forgotten, so that future generations can have a first hand account of the grandmother's early life. The only fault I find is that some of the page headings are not defintive enough, so that you write memories of games played , or sweets, or toys for example, then find that those same things crop up under another heading of ,say, childhood favourites. So there is a certain amount of unavoidable repetition. That said, it's still a very clever idea!

I bought this memory journal for my mum for Mother’s Day. It’s such a lovely thoughtful gift to give to your mum to document her life and then give onto the grandchildren. I love the variety of different topics covered in the book. Really good quality book. Overall, i am very impressed and glad I purchased!

Bought this to replace one I damaged. Quite expensive but a lovely way to give grandchildren an idea if you own youth.

Great way to share memories of by gone days

My granddaughter gave this to me and asked me to fill it in for her. The finished book is one of her most loved gifts. It helps by giving subject headings and asking questions for the grandma to answer - all about her childhood, games, family, travels, etc. - all the things that any grandchild would wish they knew about their grandmother's life. It takes time and thought to complete - needs careful legible writing (best to do it in rough first as you may want to change some of it later!) - and I pasted photos and drawings on the opposite page. I have now bought another copy to fill in for my grandson's 13th birthday - and I won't cheat by looking up what I told my granddaughter! There are many variations in the series - to be filled in by a parent, sibling, child, etc. - all of which are amazing gifts to give anyone in the family on various occasions.

Loved most of the questions. Not so keen on the straight geneological ones. But all in all a fun thing to do.

There’s a good variety of questions from simple ones to more complex personal ones. I explained it to my grand mother and told her she can answer what she wants and when she wants no pressure. She seemed quite pleased but she is 90 years old. Wish I’d gifted her this sooner
