When you use a lot of product in your hair you forget how much it builds up. Then you start getting itchy on your scalp and you start breaking out. Yes, this has happened to me and to my husband. I got this shampoo for my husband because he's had a case of folliculitis for sure (he's on two antibiotics now) and I got a bottle for myself since my scalp was really itchy and showing signs of dandruff. Having oily skin can be a real issue. Anyways, I tried this shampoo today and can I say it left my scalp squeaky clean and my hair super shiny. The menthol is also really nice and cooling in the summer! I notice this has houttuynia cordata extract which is very calming. There is a little salicylic acid which removes all those annoying skin flakes on your scalp. So basically this shampoo deep cleans and then it hydrates hair and leaves your whole scalp calmed down. I am so grateful I found this shampoo for myself and my husband. We really needed something to solve one more of those problems in life that seems to occur as per usual! I think this works better than my regular dandruff shampoo. So if your scalp is itchy, flaking or even breaking out, this is a great solution. I tried this shampoo & conditioner because of the great reviews it got. I used it this morning and already I like it. The shampoo makes a nice lather and the conditioner is marvelous! My hair is clean and soft. My scalp already feels better. The smell is nice and light, not medicated at all. It feels minty going on. It does not leave my hair greasy. It did not effect my color treated hair. I have tried so many different medicated shampoos with not great results, and many do not have a conditioner. So far I am very pleased with this product. It was worth the price. I will come back in a month and give an update.

I’m Honestly not sure what ingredients are working for me but I’ve had better success with this shampoo than with prescription ketoconazole and clobetasol. This is my holy grail for my scalp and I’m seeing new hair growth where I began to thin from my dermatitis. I wish it were cheaper because it does require a fair amount to saturate your scalp since it doesn’t lather like a normal shampoo but my hair is loving it. Best part is it doesn’t have that annoying smell that head and shoulders and selsun have. I don’t even have folliculitis!! This works for angry scalp skin

So far, this is a game changer. After 2 shampoos, all symptoms have nearly resolved. After rounds and rounds with other shampoos and treatment products, this one gets the job done. I have previously used Tsal, coal tar, folliculitis scrub treatment, prescription fungal shampoo, so many.

It's been a couple of months of use, but I must say, it really works! I bought it as a last ditch effort, as I was fighting a really bad outbreak of folliculitis along my neck line, as well as various places on my scalp. I've attributed to the use of my CPAP mask, as it was occurring where the strap was touching. The dermatologist prescribed a couple of different topical medications, but none of them worked. I also have naturally oily skin. I'd be the first to say that I don't particularly believe that any of the "natural" ingredients that are in this product really does anything--there is no real scientific research that proves any of them are effective for anything, a bunch of hooey for "crunchy" people looking for "natural" solutions. But there is an ingredient in this product that provides real relief and effective treatment. The product image here showing the ingredients do not match what is actually listed on the bottle. See my attached photo. The primary ingredients are basically water, soap, salt, citric acid, menthol and SALICYLIC ACID, something conveniently left out of their photo. And guess what that is--it's used for treating and preventing acne along with other skin conditions, like warts, psoriasis, calluses and corns. It's a mild exfoliant that breaks down a thin layer of skin and germs that live on and in that layer. This is real science, not a bunch of natural extracts that does who knows what, if anything. But, hey, this works in our favor for a change! But not everything has to be about science and efficacy. The other ingredients may have other benefits. The menthol is certainly really nice, providing a wonderful cooling effect and relief from hot, itchy scalp. It's tingly, and I love it. The scent of the shampoo is great--it's mild and not unpleasant, nothing overpoweringly fake, no strong artificial smelling perfumes added--a very gender-neutral scent. It may seem expensive for what looks like a small bottle, but a little goes a long way. Because it doesn't have a ton of fillers like most store-bought shampoos, I find that you only need a small amount to produce the same amount of lather. The key is to massage it onto your scalp, not just wash your hair with it. And once your condition clears up, I find that I only need to use it every other day, or even every two or three days. In two months, I'm not even halfway through the bottle. I hope this was helpful. Give it a shot!

1st time I used this product was wonderful. My hair was soft and my scalp felt great. Unfortunately after the second use it stopped being effective and it stripped the color out of my hair. I was so hopeful that it would work.

after the first use my itchy scalp felt so much better. it was relieving because my scalp had been so itchy for weeks and i didn’t know what was going on. after the second use the itch was completely gone and has not returned. it’s been a few weeks now of using this shampoo and i love it so much. it leaves my hair super soft. to me the shampoo smells like vitamins, those big brown ones our moms used to take when we were kids. the conditioner is minty. the shampoo will tingle during the first use and that’s normal especially if u have been scratching ur scalp a lot. the conditioner will help this tingle go away. after the first use i didn't feel any more tingle sensations, probably because i wasn’t scratching anymore. once i run out i will definitely be purchasing more. around 50 bucks for the set but it is worth it. the main ingredient in the shampoo is salicylic acid. walgreens has a cheaper version of this if u need immediate relief although this one worked better for me versus the walgreens one. the one i got at walgreens was 2in1 shampoo condition for around 8$.

I was pleasantly surprised! I also bought the shampoo, and the first time in using it I had no itch that day and continue to shampoo and condition the next three days and I’m healing up already. One day after I was still a little itchy so I took some of the conditioner and I rubbed it in those areas. Let it sit for five minutes then I took a damp face cloth and wiped it off and I felt better. I highly recommend this product!

Has reduced my flaky dry scalp by a lot, maybe 80%. Better results than any other shampoo I've tried so far, and I can just keep using it, so it's not one of those shampoo's that you use for a few weeks and hope the eczema/flakiness goes away before the end.

Expensive for its size but very good shampoo

Produit de bonne qualité avec une bonne odeur légèrement mentholé. Dès la première utilisation, une nette amélioration est déjà perceptible. Après un mois d’utilisation, les résultats sont plus que satisfaisants : disparition des démangeaisons, du cuir chevelu rouge et irrité, plus aucune douleur plus aucune croûte. Mes cheveux sont désormais soyeux et en pleine santé. Utilisé en combinaison avec l’après-shampoing de la même marque, le résultat est encore meilleur. Seule point négatif un prix légèrement élevé.

I originally bought this shampoo because I was dealing with intense burning and redness on my scalp. At first, I thought it was just irritation, but it eventually turned out to be psoriasis. Even though it didn't treat the underlying condition, this shampoo helped me so much with the symptoms. It significantly reduced the intense burning sensation and calmed the redness on my scalp, making me much more comfortable while I was figuring out what was going on. Because it worked so well for my symptoms, I imagine that if you're dealing with some type of scalp irritation, redness, or inflammation, this shampoo could be very helpful for you too. It provided me with a lot of relief, and I'm very glad I gave it a chance.
