Review: I am not 'allowed' to use glass tumblers - so this is how the problem was solved - I am not, apparently, responsible enough, anymore, to use tumblers made of glass. The reason is delightfully simple – “you break every single one you use”. Technically not 100% true, but close enough not to argue with. But, dearest, it is not my fault gravity is so heartless and patios, decking, wash basins, kitchen floors are so unforgiving. Not the only unforgiving thing in my life! Imagine my utter delight when these plastic tumblers arrived from desertcart. Not entirely a surprise since I ordered them. • They are lightweight – an elderly person or small child could hold them. A small child might need both hands though • Capacity is good. On the Smarties scale they would hold about 500 (just imagine the pleasure a tumbler full of Smarties – not allowed though because ‘you would spill them in minutes’. I would. It holds a half a pint-ish of liquid. I am assuming cold drinks, cordials etc. • Pleasant enough design • They are fairly robust. Accidental knocking over will not result in a breakage. I have tried and it does not. A teenager hurling at the floor in a strop would do damage. • Would be strong enough to pack in a picnic bag and survive the journey • Easy to store and clean • Downside – they are plastic so you will need to keep forever. Having said that the same could be said of glass. • Good quality My life has become far less stressful since the purchase and for the price very good value

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ LIVIVO Set of 6 Hi Ball Tumblers – Stylish, practical, but here’s how to avoid issues

I was actually a bit unsure about buying these at first, because I’d read reviews saying some people received them broken or found they damaged easily. I decided to give them a go anyway, and honestly, I think it really comes down to how they are handled both during delivery and once you start using them. Right away, I was impressed by how cool and stylish they look sitting on my garden table; the swirl design is simple but lovely, and I chose the coloured versions which are beautiful. They’re a great size perfect for milkshakes, soft drinks, juices or water and even though they’re made from acrylic, they feel sturdy and solid to hold, yet not heavy at all. They work brilliantly for picnics, BBQs, poolside, camping, parties, or just everyday use around the house, and they stack neatly away so they don’t take up much space in the cupboard. One detail I noticed: if you look very closely, you can see a faint join line where the two sides of the glass were moulded together. I suspect this is the weakest point and exactly where cracks tend to appear for some people. However, a big advantage of the coloured glasses is that this join is barely noticeable at all, it blends right in, unlike the clear versions where I think it would show up much more. And honestly, once you have a drink inside them, you don’t see it at all anyway; they look great and you’d never spot it during normal use. My set arrived absolutely perfect, with no damage whatsoever. Many people report breakages, though. Delivery drivers are rushing, boxes get moved around, tossed about, knocked left and right in transit. When these glasses knock against each other inside the box, that join point can easily crack. My suggestion to the supplier would be to add a clear “Fragile” or “Handle With Care” label on the outside of the packaging. If delivery staff knew to treat them gently, far fewer would arrive broken, fewer people would need to return items, and it would save hassle for everyone, including the company. Cleaning is something you definitely need to be aware of. I put both the coloured and clear ones in the dishwasher to test them. The coloured ones were absolutely fine and came out looking just as good as new. But the clear ones came out looking a bit frosty and cloudy. I think this is probably due to the high temperature in the dishwasher affecting the clear material. It completely changes how they look, so I won’t be using the clear ones for entertaining guests, though they are still fine for family use. The coloured ones are perfect for everything though. On the plus side, delivery was on time and the inner packaging was good. Each glass was individually wrapped. So that definitely helped mine arrive safely. Pros: • Attractive swirl design, lovely colour options • Coloured versions hide the mould join line very well • Lightweight yet sturdy and durable • Perfect size for milkshakes and all types of drinks • Versatile: great for outdoors, parties, camping or daily use • Stackable design for easy storage • Coloured sets wash perfectly in the dishwasher with no damage • Arrived well packed and in perfect condition • Great value for money Cons: • Faint mould join line visible on close inspection (much more obvious on clear styles) • Clear versions turn frosty/cloudy in the dishwasher likely caused by the heat • Clear ones end up looking dull, so not ideal if you want them for guests • Risk of damage in transit if parcels are not handled carefully • No “Fragile” warning label on the outer box currently Overall, these are really nice, practical tumblers and I’m very happy with the coloured set especially. The concerns people have raised are fair, but I believe most problems come from rough delivery or not knowing how they react in the dishwasher. The coloured ones are brilliant, sturdy, look great, and wash perfectly every time. The clear ones are okay, but be aware they will lose their shine in the heat of a dishwasher, so I’d only recommend those for casual use. If you stick to the coloured versions and hope for careful handling, you’ll get great-looking glasses that work perfectly for every occasion.
