I stopped using this machine for that reason alone. I now only bring it out if we are making a pot which is likely to get finished in one go. It’s otherwise a good machine and when I bought it, it wasn’t the only one to have this (seemingly recent) restrictive limit on the length of time the machine stays on and keeping the coffee warm. As a result I have moved over to a de longhi bean to cup machine. Haven’t looked back it’s much nicer coffee too. **Q: how long is it gauranteed** A: No idea on guarantee , but my advice is , don’t buy it ! It’s expensive what it is and it doesn’t do any better job than the one I got for our caravan from Sainsbury’s for £15.00 ( we got it on offer for £11 ! ) Save your cash , it looks good on the worktop but that’s about it ! Sorry but that only my opinion, having bought it and used it . Removable water tank, washable filter (paper filter saves you time n' hassle in cleaning), aroma setting, auto-clean, easy-read display is very clever. Very happy so far. At the time of order had some concern because the of many complaints, and negative comments, but all that is mainly due to ignored maintenance needs I think, that have to be done on a machine used daily.
