Review: Lovely candle, but black smoke is an issue. - Lovely candle! It’s down to its last couple of inches of wax now, the smell of raspberry has been gorgeous, not a heavy sweet sickly smell but a refreshing one. Unfortunately black smoke has been a problem as the wax got 3/4 of the way down the jar, trimming the wick as I always do didn’t seem to help much. The wax melted into an even wax pool most of the time, to avoid the wax tunnelling I wrapped silver foil around the outside of the jar on a couple of occasions, which resolved the problem. I would buy this candle again when on offer, hoping the wick is of better standard to avoid the black smoke issue. It’s a nice big size & lovely to look at.
