I love this tool. This is the third one I own. For different kitchens. I only use mine for spätzle ... Love it

Al quinto schiacciapatate accartocciatosi su se stesso o deformatosi nelle sue componenti intercambiabili dei dischi forati, un po frustrato nel constatare che sempre più vige la regola della rottura programmata da parte dei produttori, ho trovato questo oggetto semplice nella realizzazione (solo tre pezzi) solido (allumino in fusione) e facile da pulire in quanto rapidamente smontabile e riassemblabile in pochi secondi. Ma mi chiedo possibile che gli altri produttori pensino che le persone non ragionino? Consigliato anche se il prezzo è sopra la media in quanto è un oggetto destinato a durare oltre che a svolgere adeguatamente il suo compito.

It was very easy to use compared to the grater style. We are enjoying spaetzle more often due to it's ease of use & cleaning. Highly recommend it!

From the tips across the pot rest, the handles are 16.5". From the press cylinder to the end of the stationary pot rest/handle, 9.25". The plunger handle is 13.25" from the hinge pin to the tail. The cylinder is 3" diameter x 3" deep. It can fit up to a 15" diameter stock pot. I personally prefer to use it on a 10.5" stock pot so that there is still plenty of handle to grab on to that is not over the steaming pot. Transfer each batch made to a secondary pot of water at just below a simmer to hold until ready to serve. Remember to rinse the press in cold water every time you reload it and it will be a solid performer. Restaurant/heirloom quality, one of the best purchases I've made. I always end up making way more than our family of 5 needs in around 30min. We are now accustomed to having left over spaetzle for breakfast pan fried with butter and garnished with parmesan and parsley. In our modern world of pre-planned obsolescence, flimsy/cheap construction and shoddy workmanship, I'm happy to say that this product follows the old world standards of quality. I hand wash mine and store it in the bag it came in to protect the finish from scratches/corrosion. I expect it to last indefinitely as long as it isn't used as a hammer or boomerang.
