A: My husband put it together. The way it works is s follows. The chair has 7 parts. You are asking about the post which is the middle piece. The post sets in the hole of the middle of the legs, you push that in. Nothing required to secure it. Same with the bottom of the seat. You sit on it and it sets itself in tightly. I hope this helps!

I've been looking for a new makeup chair for me and this turned out to be a wonderful choice. The chair was super easy to set up, there was 8 screws and the total time to install had to be less than 5 minutes. It is height-adjustable, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. Couldn't be happier!
