This book shelf had so many pieces it was a bit intimidating to put together. However, the instructions were well written and easy to follow. It only took a couple of hours for my non-buildy self to put it together. I did have to take some parts back apart, but that was my own negligence for not fully reading before doing. Towards the end I had to enlist the help of my spouse to finish putting it together. Also, the finish is beautiful and you can stick decals to it for customization if desired. Great buy and can't wait for the little one to be big enough to use it.

I purchased this reading bench to put next to a dress-up rack (also purchased through Amazon) to create a neat and inviting kids corner in my finished basement. The book bench came quickly, very well packaged and fairly easy to put together myself (64 year old grandmother). It took approx. 2 hrs, but that’s because I worked slowly and carefully to follow the instructions and tighten each piece of hardware securely. I found it best to take it one step at a time laying out only the pieces and hardware needed for the step that I was on. That way you are sure you have the step done properly if there are no pieces and hardware remaining and then feel confident to move onto the next step, again laying out only the pieces needed for the next step. They do give you a few extra dowels, screws, etc. overall but each step in the instructions tells you exactly how many pieces are needed for that step. They even give you a small supply of white stickers to cover many of the screw holes, for a clean, finished look. All of the holes lined up and it went together relatively easy. Nothing was cracked, broken or missing.I love that the cubbies and book shelves are different sizes, making it easy to organize a wide variety of book and toy sizes. My 4 and 2 yr old grandsons love climbing up on it and sitting together on it while I sit on the floor in front of them and read stories to them. Great unit and well worth the $$$.

It's perfect because it has a good use for storage and the fact it has a spot to read when she gets older. Before we got this her toys were just kind of spread around and a few million baskets here and there but it really shapes up the entire look of her bedroom very comfortable seating extremely sturdy and 100% functional I got the white one and it's beautiful

I have had this bench with storage for awhile, but it definitely has some minor pros and cons in my opinion.Pros: has plenty of storage space, decently priced, seems sturdy so far, looks as expected from the photos and decently easy to put together if you have common sense. Bench is stable and I've sat on it with my two year old and it holds. (I'm 140lbs and my son is 30lbs)The cons: The cushion that it comes with, easily slips off of the bench, which is annoying. It is easily fixed if you attach velcro to the cushion and the bench where it sits...but I feel like this should have been something that was included.Second con is that it DOES NOT come with baskets for the bottom. It was difficult to find baskets that fit the space at the bottom. A lot of the baskets I found on Amazon were too big for the space and I ended up getting baskets that barely fit. But it Definitely took some digging to find ones that worked.Last con is more of a preference, but I would have liked this more if it came in more color options. The paint seems to scratch somewhat easily and so I would have rather gotten it in a plain, unpainted, so that I could just paint it the way I wanted it. Otherwise I'm happy with the size and decent quality of it. I would recommend it over some others that I researched despite some of the cons.

This bookshelf is perfect for my girls' room—sturdy, looks great, and gives them a cozy little spot to sit and read (or pretend to clean up). I should have checked the cubby size before ordering bins, but that’s on me! Overall, great quality for the price, and my kids love it. Now, if only it came with built-in motivation for them to keep it tidy…

Sturdy, multiple kids can sit comfortably. Appreciate the different size cubbies. Easy to put together.

This bookshelf is amazing! It totally transformed my space from looking like a cluttered mess to looking neat and tidy. The toys fit in the 3 bins (bought separately) and all the books fit on the shelf. We have a lot of books so I was worried about that.It is very heavy and sturdy so I'm not worried at all about it lasting. It was fairly easy to put together but does take some work and having a second person helps a lot (it can be done with just one person though.) The instructions were clear and easy to understand and it not only had all the pieces but some extras as well.

My 2.5 year old loves it! Very easy assembly. very easy to organize books versus normal bookshelves. Holds the weight and size our toddler and mom or dad at the same time. Soooo cute! Comfy cushion. We aren’t opposed to the carcoal cushion but we put her old changing pad cover over to to match her room a little better. Seems pretty study. Definitely worth what we paid for. :)
