Revlon ColorSilk Digitones Permanent Hair Color with Keratin, 95D Pastel Pink, 1 Count

Like a lot of us, I change hair colors from time to time - sometimes for a seasonal change and sometimes because I am tired of a color I have had for a while. Although I have certainly tried a few of the "pop" colors, I have been less than satisfied of the results and lack of any longevity of the shades.I spotted these Revlon colors at a store a few months ago and gave the pink a shot. My natural hair color is a soft brown so first I used a Revlon light blonde to raise the color. After that process, I added this shade. What nice results!The pinks I had tried before tended to have too much red/yellow pigments I thought, which definitely made the colors more red. In this one, I found the color more what I was looking for - a nice mild cool pink.To be fair, had I not lifted my hair color to blonde first, I doubt this shad would have made much of a difference. Also, as with most red hues, this color requires a monthly re-do, but at $4+ per application it's not much of a sacrifice!What made me think to write this review is that I am getting ready to do yet another application for another month of pink-tinted hair. Several months in a row is pretty rare for me, especially in the summer when I tend to be outside more.Revlon's pink really delivers!

Whatever you call it, it looks good. My original hair color is black. I had to bleach it blonde first, then do this pink. I used two boxes (mixed them together), to get this result. First time, so didn't know if 1 was enough so got 2 just to be sure. Instructions were easy enough. I searched thoroughly, every brand out there is semi-permanent. This was the only one that I could find that was permanent. And the price was ridiculously cheap! Each box cost less than my Starbucks frappucino. Going on 3 weeks now and color hasn't washed or faded out.

This barely dyes your hair pink unless you have white hair. I lightened my hair to a 9 and there was only a hint of pink. That hint of pink washed away in abut 2 days. I would say that this dye is better off as a pink hair toner because it did tone my hair

PASTEL PINK: I forgot to take before and afters the first go around so it’s a bit weird. The first pick is me touching up my roots before recoloring. It’s after 3 weeks from the first time. It washed out to a nice icy pink and stayed there. The next two are during and after. Note, this is a legit dye not a mask. It is pretty liquidy compared to semi permanent dye. I make a mess every time. It has a mild lightening effect to it but I would definitely have prelightened hair. The pastel pink has a smidge of purple to it which toned my yellow bleached hair so nicely. The color washed out evenly which is awesome since the semi perm stuff doesn’t. I love this hair dye.

Would be a good idea to have a person to help you apply and not miss spots. The after photo is after 1 wash and I’m not sure this is going to last long. I like it but will see how it goes. I waited 2 weeks after bleaching my hair and used some porosity control conditioner to try to minimize wash out speed. The lavender may perform differently (I bought that one too).

I am obsessed with this Revlon Digitones line of permanent hair dye. The application is super easy and it seems to be gentle on my hair. I always use this after bleaching my hair and it never seems to do any kind of damage. The color is true to what you would expect when applying to lightened hair. The pastel shade is never too bright and fades slowly to an even more pleasant pastel shade. I am going to continue to use this product as long as revlon makes it.
