Review: Great little 'pets', but need to follow instructions. - This is a great present for a child who wants a low maintenance 'pet'! The tank is tiny, and it is worth reading the advice online before set-up which was: use bottled water but not mineral water, keep somewhere above 17degrees, and near natural light if possible. (some of this is not in the pack instructions). It took about 4 days for us to see anything, and they looked like black specks (not white dots) so we'd given up hope. but we kept aerating, and took the lid off each day for an hour or two. Didn't feed until I was sure they'd hatched. Now we have a hundred or so, 2 and half weeks later. Couldn't see them without a magnifying glass for the first week. We feed every second day, they're fascinating creatures and the kids love them.
