Bought this for my freezer that I have in the garage if the plug trips this device has a very loud alarm that lets me know so I can reset it and not lose any items from thawing out

I use this on a dehumidifier I have in my crawlspace. In testing I found I could not be too close to the unit when it went off as the siren is VERY loud! Seems to "work" well. I would recommend this one or something similar for the situation.

Works as it should. First time plugging in there is a clicking sound. When clicking stops you can test it thenFound in other reviews that is normal. It indicates it is charging its battery. It comes as quality one. Two are pictured in listing but you get one.

I bought this Briidea Power Failure Alarm for my minifridge, and it didn't work out of the box. Every time I plug it into any outlet or even an extension cord it makes a loud nonstop clicking noise while the green light is on. According to the description, it should just show a steady green light during normal power, and only switch to a red light with a loud siren when the power goes out. Mine never stops clicking and never behaves the way it is described. It is basically unusable. If I unplug it for a couple minutes and plug it back in it seems to stop the noise but only temporarily. The noise comes back in about 30-60 seconds which you can see from the video. I recorded a video (attached) to show exactly what it is doing and it is clear this is not normal/expected behavior. I also emailed Briidea support ([email protected]) about the issue and they seem to be ignoring my email. No reply, no help, nothing. So I ended up with a broken product and no customer support. I would not buy this again and I would be very careful trusting this company or any of their products to protect anything important.

This power out alarm works amazing. I have it hooked up to an outdoor outlet that has a freezer attached to it. We lost power the other night and it started screeching obnoxiously. It definitely works. The sucky part was I had to go outside and press the button so it would stop, but you cannot miss the noise. The only thing I do not like is that the outside plug box holds two plugs, but this system is bulky so only one plug can fit into the outlet.

Works well for me. Not too loud, not too soft. We're just a few rooms away. A basement may need a louder product.

It gives me a green light but it’s just ticking. It says to charge 2 hours so if it. Starts working then I’ll update this. Moving this to 5 stars, after charging for a couple of hours the clicking went away and it works perfectly now.

I like these and thought they'd be so helpful I bought 2. I've found they are as helpful as I expected. I seldom do much with wiring around the house. Who does? But, we recently moved out of our empty nest and into our 'forever house'. As is so typical, the main circuit breaker panel in our new home was poorly labeled. I, however, like to be certain which outlets, switches, and fixtures are controlled by which breaker. To top it off, shortly after moving in, we underwent a pretty serious renovation costing nearly $ 200K, which included upgrading to 200 AMP service along with a few new circuits and the obligatory new electrical panel, located in the unfinished basement. Regrettably, the electrician did minimal labeling of the new panel, e.g. 'living room'. Despite the labeling, after the electrical work was done, I found that not all outlets and switches in the 'living room' were on the same circuit. To remedy any confusion, my plan was/is to draw diagrams of each room showing each outlet, switch, and fixture, and keep those diagrams attached to the circuit panel for future reference. These little alarms were a BIG help in my plan. I'd put 2 in a room, then go to the basement and hit circuit breakers listening for the telltale alarm, then return upstairs and update the diagram for that particular room. It's a time-consuming process, but I can do it when my wife isn't home and without interrupting cooking, laundry, or any other activity that requires a live circuit. I haven't yet finished the diagramming and testing, but I do pick away at it slowly. (My wife goes out less often n the approaching cod weather). I told a friend about these and he ordered one for himself. (He could have borrowed mine, but he lives too far away to easily trade back and forth). These were helpful in my project, and I'm sure could be helpful in others.

Works fine. It saved the freezer when I forgot it was connected to a line I had disconnected. You don’t necessarily have to connect the device. As long as it is on the same circuit it will work.
