Review: Probably 3.5 stars here... some good, some not so! - The sealant was delivered in standard desertcart box, no packing but came with attached nozzle unlike some other reviews. I had a few jobs that needed to be done both external and internal around the house. The majority of the work was on wooden window frames, but I also used on UPVC front door and some smaller jobs on plaster. The first point of note is that the tube had a expiry date of May 25 so less than than 12 months which wasn't an issue for me as I plan to use the majority on first use but I was surprised by such a short date here. The next point of concern was the viscosity of the sealant itself, it is quite thin (again as mentioned by other reviewers). This on applying can be a benefit as it flows exceptionally well and goes in to all gaps, crevices with great ease. However to my annoyance it does seem to run off the gun much to easily causing some more mess and a small amount of product wastage. A more experienced applicator may be able to work it better than me, but I found I was wiping excess of the gun on a regular basis. I did take a picture so show this excess for reference. After application the appearance looks good, excellent flow as mentioned and a very clean white look. The drying is also not as fast as I hoped, it was still quite soft and pliable after 1-2 hours so please take this in to consideration - my conditions was a warm dry day at 20C. It states 24 hours through dry and this seems to be the case in good conditions. Overall I am going to give 4 stars, as it does look good when finished, as in the heading I probably would have given 3.5, as it was one of the most expensive sealants but as it is on highly visible external windows I wanted it to last! Whether it does, and does not discolour or crack then will inivitably determine how happy I am. Time will tell... and I will review if anything changes, the company states lifetime guarantee on the tube, lets hope they are right.

**Q: Is sealent good for outside around windows frame on stone wall**
A: It works perfectly to seal wood or upvc windows to brick or stone, just make sure its dry

**Q: Can it be painted?**
A: This can't be painted - the label does state that it is NOT paintable. However, the way this is presented may not be 100% clear (I had to read it twice to check).

**Q: What heat can it withstand?**
A: I cannot tell you the exact heat, but I can say I have used it outside for my double glazed windows for some years,  and it is still perfect through hot and cold weather. With regard to exact heat, I am sure the manufacturer will be able to advise you.

**Q: Is this the same as wood putty. I need to fill gaps/cracks in external window frames-will this be ok?**
A: It will be fine, I use in on my greenhouse, on the outside where I have some polycarbonate in the door, which is plastic and wood and it is great, so I can imagine that it will be just as good on upvc and wood or just upvc and glass.  I think you will be pleased with the result.

Tackling outdoor sealing tasks around brickwork can often be a messy job, but this EVO-STIK Window & Door Frame Sealant shown in ⁠my photo makes the entire process incredibly straightforward. I bought this cartridge specifically to seal along the bottom threshold of an external uPVC door frame, and the consistency of the paste is spot-on. It flows evenly from the cartridge gun nozzle without requiring excessive force, yet it is thick enough that it won't run or sag. It is remarkably easy to smooth down into a clean, low-profile bead using a damp tool, filling the uneven gaps seamlessly between the concrete floor and the uPVC trim as seen in my photo. The adhesion properties of this formula are exceptional. It grabs tightly onto porous concrete, rough brickwork, and smooth plastic or metal surfaces without requiring any special priming beforehand. Once fully dry, it forms an entirely waterproof, draft-proof barrier at the base of the door that handles expansion and contraction wonderfully. Because it remains flexible rather than drying completely brittle, it easily accommodates the natural shifting and slight movement that occurs with temperature changes over the seasons, resisting cracking and pulling away over time. With a 290ml cartridge providing excellent coverage, this tube offers fantastic value for a quick household maintenance project. The fact that it contains an integrated fungicide to actively combat unsightly mould growth is a massive plus for damp outdoor locations, and the ability to overpaint it once cured allows you to blend the line seamlessly into your surrounding masonry if needed.
