Xodus Battery Operated LED Window Candles, Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Single

I purchased four different types of battery-operated candles trying to find the most realistic one. This one was the winner. I was looking to achieve a very Victorian, "Silent Night" kind of vibe for the holidays. I wanted a very low-wattage. I wanted them to flicker. They flicker very realistically. They have a yellow/orange glow to them, rather than white, or off-white. And the best feature is the light sensor, which works perfectly. This turns the candles on when the sun goes down, and turns them off when the sun comes back up. No timers to worry about. (During the winter, the six hour timers that other candles have isn't long enough to stay on during all the dark hours. But these come on at 4:30 pm and turn off at 7:30 am. It is mid-December in NJ. When the sunlight hours get longer, I won't have to adjust anything.). No having the leave them on all day because you forgot to turn them off before you went to work. I was worried about how much light they would shine into the bedrooms during the night. But the light is so low, it's not at all bothersome. Lower than a nightlight. But still very lovely to look at from the outside. I tried to capture it with my phone, but the phone camera doesn't do it justice. When I drive down the street towards my house, I really look forward to seeing them in the windows. I'm thinking about leaving them displayed all year long! These do not come with a remote, but they don't need one. I honestly think that's better because I would just lose the remote. I would have liked a wider base, but it's really not an issue. Nothing is knocking them over. Maybe if you have cats, you might want to put a piece of something sticky underneath to keep them in place better.

These are incredibly wonderful. They're so light weight, but it doesn't take away from the quality at all. The build is fantastic, lightweight yet so sturdy, and I love how it has the sensor to turn on and off on it's own. The flame that lights at night is orange, which I LOVE, there's little to no installation at all, just put in the batteries and it's running. I haven't had to change out the batteries, nor has it dimmed, since purchase, which has been quite a long time now - by now most of my other candles need a change out, not these! The timer function works perfectly, turns on when the sensor senses that it's dark out and turns off when the sensor senses that it's light out. I've already recommended these to 2 friends. Highly recommend them, I bought an extra set for the future. Great Window Candles!

Purchased these a while back to place in my windows at Christmastime!! These give off a soft yellow light that adds ambiance to the room. These are also lightweight and easy to use. The quality and reliability are excellent, and I have utilized these for a couple of years now to say so.

Love how the candles look. Wish that it was just a little bit heavier and brighter, but it's so nice to have the candles turn on and off on its own and not worry about it. Would have rated it a 4.5.

I highly recommend these candles. We got these on Dec 10th and installed them in our house and a tiny river house we're building. The color of the LEDs is a nice yellow and just enough "flicker" to look fairly real. They worked perfectly throughout the holiday season in both houses. The candles have a small electric eye, less than 1/8" large, and can be turned in the base to face out a window. In our tiny house, all the candles would come on within 1-2 minutes of each other a little before dusk. Unlike other light-sensing candles we've had, even with very bright interior lights on or with our front porch or corner spotlights on, none of these candles ever went off when the electric eye was correctly pointed outside. The 20 lights in our tiny house all worked until we had to take them down around January 7th due to work in the structure. In our house, the batteries in two candles died around January 15th, but the other 14 are still going after six weeks. When we took down the candles in the tiny house, we just turned the base of the candle until they went off, pulled the snap-on base off, and put the candles and bases back in the boxes they came in until next year. The bases are plastic, but the rubbed bronze finish on the bases looked fine, and we didn't have a single candle fall over. It was great not having to run electric cords to all our windows and being able to use lights in the room without the candles going out. We liked the dusk-to-dawn operation better than the candles that only run for six hours on an internal timer and require you to try to "start" all candles at the same time.

I love these candles. I’ve always wanted to have a house with a single candle in each window, but I hated the old candles with cords and a little switch on them, and real candles are too much of a fire hazard. I bought these as an experiment and I will absolutely be buying more for all the windows in the house. The candles really do turn on and off with daylight. Occasionally on a particular cloudy or stormy day, one or two of them would turn on (sensing it being darker) but other than that they generally got the daytime vs nighttime correct. They do look somewhat real. One of the only downsides is that they aren’t terribly bright. Maybe it’s just my house, but you can’t really see them from the street like I was hoping. But they create a beautiful ambiance from inside. My biggest concern was batteries. Two AA batteries per candle can add some cost if you have to replace them frequently. I am happy to say that the batteries in these candles lasted from Thanksgiving to New Years. We’ve since taken the batteries out and put them away for the season. I will be crazy impressed if we get a second season out of the batteries. Overall, these are beautiful candles and I am very happy with my purchase.

The candles are very dim and too small for a window. I use them on my table with flowers and they look great.

I ordered this for Christmas, as the eCandles seem to give a good glow and my kids love them. When I received the package, it was smashed up (had been put into a plastic bag and not a cardboard and sturdy bag). I took pics and alerted the Vendor. The Seller had a look and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Hey, things happen! It's important to have lines of communication open and get talking about solutions. I am happy with the results. We are using 6 of these in our windows. They have functioned perfectly for 2 months, so far. They take 2 AA batteries. I am using rechargeables, and they last about 3 weeks! They come on and off automatically. They have a gentle but very visible candle like gleam, a bit too orange maybe, but pretty.

I initially purchased one of these items, as I didn't believe that the "fake flame" would actually be what I wanted. Put two rechargeable batteries into it and tested the eCandle. The batteries last a long time...usually about a month...sometimes longer! The sensor works pretty good. Any darkness and you'll get the eFlame. My kids were impressed as well, and began to steal these purchases from my initial placements. So I bought three more. I plan to purchase additional candles as the time allows. Overall...what I wanted and I am pleased!
