Vol 2 - Well its just as good as the first.. the anime showed it was good but the manga has much more depth too it that sometimes the anime cant show i believe. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Great manga!
I discovered Shokugeki no Soma as an anime on Crunchy Roll. As with many animes, I started to read the manga online. When I discovered that the volumes were being translated for sale in North America, I had to buy them. I love that the volumes have recipes in them for the food that Soma cooks.

This book continues the awesome story. The gags are good as usual. The story is progressing nicely. And yes, there is a lot of "foodgasms" in this chapter too!

Wow Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma is quickly becoming one of my new favorites for reading manga. This volume is just as great as the first and this book introduces more of the supporting cast that Soma (the protagonist) will be interacting with during this story. Looking forward to volume 3 when it comes out. If you already read volume 1, I definitely recommend getting this volume!!! Food Wars! is a shonen manga about COOKING! Which is very cool and this story has a lot of cool, funny and cute moments!!!
