Works good so far.

Set feeder to drop 3 “servings” 6x a day. I check it about once a week to refill. I’ve been able to reduce mess and not stress about feeding my cats.

I got this for my cat a while ago and it still works great. I am able to go on vacation and know that my cat is getting fed the right amount because he will eat everything at once. You can change the amount of food as well as the timing of food. You can change the frequency as well. It’s easy to refill and once you set it up you don’t really have to do much to keep up with it. I also added a voice message for my cat so he can hear me call out for him when food is ready.

It’s been over 6 months since I purchased this and I love it! If I ever need another I will buy this again. I bought this to help my cat lose weight. She’s always been free fed and I needed something to help with portion control, but our work hours are hectic so feeding on a schedule is impossible, but her vet recommended we try an automatic feeder. I love that I can set several feedings if I want and make them as many or few portions as I want, and set each individual dispense at any time that I want. The first few weeks I had to adjust and readjust settings until I found what was just right for us - enough portions to feed kitty without her being hungry and having an empty bowl, but not enough that there was a ton of food leftover in her bowl every day. I live in an area that has had MANY storms since I purchased this and we usually lose power at least once or twice a month. The battery has always kicked in when outlet power was unavailable and we’ve never had any problems. That being said, if there’s a storm I still always monitor the feeder just in case the battery dies, and when we go out of town for a few days I still leave a separate regular food bowl out that doesn’t rely on electric power or battery, just in case! My cat especially looks forward to hearing the high pitched tone when the feeder dispenses! Between using this automatic feeder for portion control and incorporating more play time (exercise) in her daily routine, our cat’s vet is pleased with her weight loss!

I had this feeder assembled and programmed in 10 minutes out-of-the-box. It worked perfectly while we were on a week-long trip. Our neighbor stopped by daily to check on our cat and found her to be well fed and content. When we returned, I set the feeder for a 2am feeding which worked fine for a month or so and then suddenly stopped the 2am feeding. I contacted Customer Service and within a few hours Melissa responded with a few questions. She checked with her engineers and over the course of a couple days determined that the feeder was malfunctioning and sent me a replacement without requesting return of old one. THAT is Customer Service! This company stands behind their products and cares about their customers. A rare find these days. I highly recommend this Pitpet Feeder.
