This is the only second skin that I've used that hasn't given me an allergic reaction. Its easy to apply, matt, and stays on. I forget its on sometimes. Ive healed countless tattoos with this stuff and it does a fantastic job every time. Well worth the money. Great for getting your tattoo past that initial sticky, weepy faze when the ink transfers onto bedsheets. Definitely recommend it.

Was recommended this product by a few tattoo artists to help the healing process, while also maintaining hygiene.It does well to keep as much of the ink and blood from a new tattoo within the skin, with only a few leaks creeping out depending on how complex and large the tattoo is.Obviously, it's more pricier than cling film, but with it comes quality, breathability, and better hygiene protection from the elements, insects, and other things that may cause infection.Probably needs a second person to help apply it to the area, but not too difficult with a bit of practice to do it yourself.

I recently had a large thigh tattoo done and the tattoo artist covered it up with "Second Skin"These types of dressings allow your tattoo to wet heal so they never scab or dry out.I purchased this brand after seeing the good reviews and I'm glad I did.You get 10 in a pack and I used 3 to fully cover the tattoo (very large so 3 were needed)After the second day the original Second Skin covering my artist used was peeling off and leaking ink/blood/plasma.I washed the tattoo, put tattoo balm on and then these new covers.They are really easy to attach and if you do it well there are no air bubbles or creases. It's been on half a day so far and there is zero peeling.There really is no better way to not only protect your fresh tattoo from bacteria and detritus. Also these covers also mean the tattoo never dries and so doesn't scab. They also make your tattoo heal much quicker."Glamdalf" will be looking amazing and perfectly healed in no time.

Excellent product - on my 5th tattoo now and first time using this brand and no reaction, coming from a sensitive skinned princess, that's saying something! Highly recommend and will definitely be using this brand again. Easy to apply.

Brilliant stuff. A little fiddly to put on well, but heals like nothing else. Wish I’d found it decades ago. Using this properly there was no ink/colour loss. No scabbing and literally half’s the healing time. Have and will always use it since the first time.

Was personally luck enough not to have a reaction to it. Makes getting a tattoo so much easier as you don't have to avoid wearing clothes and stops the cat hair getting involved in the healing process. Also great as I find it stops the tattoos getting scabby.

I used this to cover a new tattoo after removing the layer that the artist had put on, cleaning and airing it for a day. I had the strip on for 24 hours before I removed it and it’s left my skin really red and irritated. It’s been over 24 hours since I removed it and my skin is still red. (I don’t normally have sensitive skin!)

Easy to use, works amazing if you follow the recommendations. I had healed tattoos without any single scabs using this product.There are multiple peeling areas, this is very practical to cut and superpose layers when using it in difficult areas.

I've had a lot of tattoo work done in the past year. I've tried all the popular derm products (Saniderm, Tegaderm, Tatu-Derm, etc) and Recovery Derm blows them all out of the water.Recovery Derm is much easier to apply, bends with the skin better, and has a matte appearance. I get irritation from all derm products, but this one gives me the least irritation. The redness goes away after a few days.I get the best results by leaving the artist-applied meat bandage on until the evening, giving the tattoo a good wash, and then applying Recovery Derm. After 24 hours I remove it, wash again and apply a new piece of Recovery Derm. That one stays on for 3 days, then I remove it and the initial heal is almost done, and with no scabbing! Continue with the usual aftercare.
