Best watering device for larger plants by a long mile but don't bother with the green plastic adapter or using plastic bottles ( there are two large puddles on my floor that tell you how well that went) use the terracotta spike with a wine bottle which has a screw cap not a cork ( the grooves on the neck of the screw cap bottle help it lock in to the spike when you twist it in to place and stop the water from just gushing out). Once I figured that out I watered my plants set up the device then left for my chilli plants on 15 day holiday... on return my plants were fine and well watered and a few had fruited!

Buy the ones for glass bottles instead! Plastic not easy to use in comparison so I leave mine off rather. Need a sturdy plastic bottle to keep its shape better and slow watering. Great for a few days away, but prefer glass bottle suited ones better as they last longer.

These are quite big so fantastic for larger house plants, a little too large for smaller window pots though. They do work though and I'm really pleased with them, can you do a smaller version as well please? :)

after years of searching - I finally have something that works for the bigger plants. I was surprised that there was no hole at the point of the terra cotta - I checked it in the sink - and the terra cotta outside gets wet quickly - so no bottle emptying overnight. In fact - I put it in a pot where the (drooping) plant needed watering - and overnight it didn't pull more than 250 ml of water - and my plant was all perked up. So with the normal watering routine - and this a back-up (in Greece and with temps lately at 42-43C - and water sometimes in short supply - this will save the day. I did post a note on one comment - if you don't be careful about a white washer - the water can then come up from the terra cotta. the other hint is the terra cotta has to be completely covered by dirt (otherwise it will dry out with the air). But it is so easy to just lift the bottle and leave the terra cotta in the dirt. And - the 1 1/2 liter soda bottles actually screw on very snug - for years I have had some spikes that one bottle would work on one - but not on another spike - and the problem of the thin plastic bottlechanging shape is gone. But someone else mentioned - PLEASE A SMALLER VERSION FOR SMALLER POTS OF FLOWERS!

These do not work. The adapter fits on to the bottle and then just sits inside the terracotta... The water simply floods through the gap. I have the ones that fit wine bottles, and they are great and work fine. These are a complete waste of money.

Ingenious and very useful! Keeps the soil in my balcony planters moist between watering and particularly useful when I'm away for a few days in preventing everything from wilting. You do need to ensure the terracotta stake is buried fully in recently watered soil and is full of water itself before inserting the bottle. Good enough product that I have recommended it to friends and family,

It can be tricky to set them up, as the bottle has to be angled just right. When we went away for a week, we returned to dry half-dead plants.

Works well and kept my plants ticking over when I couldn't be there to water them. Doesn't work well with all plastic bottles but now I have found which screw on nicely it works well for me.

Bonjour, J'en ai acheté un lot de 2 packs de 4, soit 8.Rapidement devant leur efficacité j'en ai repris 8 de plus. J'utilise des bouteilles plastiques vertes ainsi cela se fond mieux dans le décor voir ça passe inaperçu au milieu des grandes plantes. J'adore les plantes et j'en ai vraiment beaucoup chez moi. Je m'en occupe régulièrement et pourtant il m'arrivait que l'une ou l'autre souffre de trop ou pas assez d'eau. Depuis que j'utilise ce système, c'est tellement pratique et je vois réellement l'effet sur les plantes qui n'ont jamais soif et jamais les pieds dans l'eau. Sur les photos, mon plant de caoutchouc, mes lys et un plant de manguier. Des manguiers j'en ai loupé quelques uns qui ont finit par dépérir, c'est le premier qui tient aussi longtemps et se porte comme un charme :).

Le pipette sono molto grandi, non è adatto ad essere inserito in vasi singoli o piccoli dopo l'impianto, andrebbe in caso messo contestualmente la travaso viste le grosse dimensioni. il funzionamento è ottimo, ma dalla descrizione prodotto no ne avevo capito le dimensioni, che sono in effetti eccessive per vasi piccoli con una sola pianta. Spedizione senza problemi di sorta.

Difficile de trouver une bouteille d'eau (francaise) qui s'adapte à la partie a visser. L'eau se déverse dans le cône en terre cuite. Je ne suis pas très convaincue par cet achat.

Non è utile. Ho provato a usarlo , ma la bottiglia di plastica è stata portata via da una folata di vento. Ne ho dati un paio a mia sorella e anche lei ha detto che non regge bene le bottiglie; cadono.
