Starrett Professional Stainless Steel Kitchen Boning Knife - Narrow Curved Profile - 5-inch (125mm) - White Handle

I use sharp knives every day as part of my job in the fish trade. I wanted a cheap knife for butchery of meat joints at home. Out of the box this knife shaved a patch of hair from my arm, which no fish filleting knife has yet managed without me putting some work in on sharpening. It get's five stars but I was thinking about taking one off as it's not obvious in the listings whether the blade is flexible or not. This one isn't which is great for butchery, so good that I'm thinking of replacing my current Victorinox flexible fish blade for one of these, but hard to tell (if at all) from their listings. If you want to buy a whole chicken and portion it yourself this knife is ideal and youtube shows you how. For fish, no good as the blade is too stiff for me at least. For the price it's amazing.

A good quality knife. Been using for about a year to date. Easy to sharpen and keep a keen edge for about a week when using daily.

It is sharp and pointy. I haven’t used it enough to measure edge retention but I can sharpen a knife. Handle is comfy but could have more grip. For the price not bad at all.

Loved it at the start. It’s dulled pretty quickly though.

Purpose of this for a gift was for gutting trout Reasonable price but I did think it should maybe have come in a box. This would keep it away from normal household knives.

Très efficace pour couper la viande (même en cours de décongélation) mais il faut prévoir les pansements . Interdit aux maladroits.
