They are not fancy, but sturdy. They are strong enough that I was able to re-bend them into a shape more useful for my purpose. I modified them so I can pick up some tins I am using for candle making, and they work perfectly. They look like they would do a good job for holding a small crucible, too. For very hot items, I would recommend adding some silicon coverings for the handles, too.
