Out of the box it worked great and lit many candles. After a few weeks and a couple of recharges it just stopped working.

This works perfectly to light candles. I've been wanting to try one of these and finally ordered this one. Works great on the Jar type candles and it's easy to use. I really like that the electrodes retract when not in use and that the button can't be accidentally triggered. Update: After using this every day through the holiday season, I'm even more convinced this was an excellent purchase. I've lighted candles every day, it is so convenient. I kept it laying on my counter next to a white board and kept track . . .After charging it the first day, I lighted 18 candles in 6 days before the unit showed any loss of charge (4 lights dropped to lights).

Love these, what a great idea! No more one time use matches. I bought two of these one of them the charging indicator light does not work but it functions fine and I never returned.

Bough this to keep from burning my fingers trying to light candles. Have used the long lighters in the past but always had trouble finding ones that light without trying multiple times. This little device works well and works the first time.
