Probably the easiest book to read if you wanna start playing go. It's so easy it's rediculous. I started reading it when i had already some experience with the game so it was so much more easy for me. It has many pictures and everything is explained. Nothing is left to be wandered. The main problem not only with the book, but with the whole series is that it's not dense enough. Janice could have merged the first three books in one and still it wouldn't have gotten you far in the game. For example i read this book in just 2-3 hours...

this series of books is excellent. Very clearly written with good illustrations and step by step guidance. I highly recommend them. Geoff

The ultimate book on the boardgame of GO . Used by people like Bill Gates. Both for fun , strategic decisions, and personal development.

Can I not five star it without filling in a text field.

If you want to get the whole set, and you've already played go, I recommend skipping this first one. It's thorough, but extremely basic.Not much more than the rules and a game review. Well written, and easy to understand, but very basic.Devlivery and quality... no complaints.

Love this book. Starts at the very beginning but progresses and covers several useful techniques that I understand.
