A Reliable Solution for Floor Gaps with Some Minor Drawbacks
I recently had the opportunity to use a floor gap filling kit to address the noticeable gaps between the boards in my recently installed flooring. Overall, the product proved to be a reliable solution, but there were a few aspects that left room for improvement. One of the standout features of the kit was its ability to seamlessly match the floor, effectively concealing the gaps between the boards. The included color chart was a valuable tool in this process, providing clear instructions on how to create the perfect color blend. Following the chart's guidelines resulted in a finish that seamlessly blended with the existing floor, enhancing its overall appearance. However, a notable downside was the quantity of the mixture when following the color chart. I found that the amount was insufficient to fill in the larger gaps between the floorboards adequately. This necessitated multiple rounds of mixing the color and putty, which, unfortunately, extended the overall application process. If I had been aware of this limitation beforehand, I would have opted to prepare a larger batch initially to streamline the application process.Despite this drawback, the effectiveness of the product in filling the gaps and the accuracy of the color matching process ultimately won me over. The kit's inclusion of a comprehensive color chart demonstrated a commitment to user-friendliness, making the entire process relatively straightforward. In conclusion, while the floor gap filling kit delivered on its promise of seamlessly concealing gaps and matching floor colors, the need for additional mixing and the possibility of underestimating the quantity required were slight inconveniences. With a bit of foresight and an understanding of the product's limitations, users can achieve satisfying results with this floor gap filling solution.

Works great
We had a gouge in our linoleum from kitchen shears getting knocked from the counter, falling pointy-end down. This kit worked great. I was able to mix a color that matched really well, and the putty worked great at filling in and sealing the gouge. It's been two months and the repair is still holding up great.Just keep in mind that using this for a repair requires a bit of artistic ability and finesse. That's just the nature of this kind of product and what it's designed to repair. I used the color guide but ending up having to add different colors and experiment to get the near-exact match. Also, I had to apply the putty, press down, reapply, press down, etc. until the gouge was flattened and fully sealed, and then I feathered the edges to try to get the repair to blend in a bit. I didn't think to take a "before" picture, but I've included an "after" picture with this review. In regular light, the repair blends in so well that even though I know it's there, I still have to look for it.

I wish the mixing card were solid plastic
The color codes, at least for vinyl, seem to be way off. Maybe their printer messed up the color chart. Everything is just way too light, and not brown enough, compared to their charts. But, if you can learn to be an artist, then this will work. It shrinks more than I thought. I've refilled about 4 times, one small vinyl seam. At least I am benefiting from learning how to get a better color match with each fill. I can easily tell that green is needed in my mixes, but none of the color combinations list to add yellow (plus blue) to get some green. I've added that myself. Really, they must have a color printing error in the instructions right now.

Works, but has some problems
This did the job, but I'm not super happy with it.Although it makes a big show about letting you match colors with precision, it doesn't really turn out that way in real life. First it that they tell you right off the bat that it's going to dry significantly darker. It's also tough to tell that you've got it well-mixed. My other complaint is that the card you're supposed to do the mixing on has poor lamination, so after one use-and-cleaning cycle, it's clear that it's going to fall apart the next time I use it. It would have been much better if they just had a piece of credit card style plastic.

How I got it to work
This stuff really kicks butt! You can blend it into your floor easily. If the repair is missing a lot of material it might be noticeable but barely if you blend it right. To get this to work and avoid many of the complaints here is what I did:1. RTFM. Seriously, read the instructions. If you actually follow them, they work.2. You will need more q-tips and make yourself some blend sticks. They don't have to be popsicle sticks, use whatever will work, but you still need quite a few. They get sticky.3. I found its better to let it dry then clean it up with mineral spirits or paint thinner for the finer work (cleaning right around the area you just fixed). The reason for this is if any of the cleaner gets on the area it will change colors or ruin the adhesion.4. PREP PREP PREP. This is the most important part. The area must be clean, including the floor underneath you need to stick to. Clean it all up according to the instructions, and then right before you apply your mixture, clean the area with alcohol and let the alcohol dry. This will remove any residue from the cleaners you used and make sure that it will stick.5. Remember every once in a while it *might* dry a half shade darker. I've only had this happen once on a dark color, but it can happen.6. Add texture or coloring lines AFTER it's all dried and good to go. I had to do this on a faux mosaic vinyl and doing it once it was dry it blended perfect.7. If you had to fix a large area and have to do intricate lines or the like afterward, I put a tiny bit of clear coat over it to make sure it didn't get rubbed off by a mop or the like. I sprayed the clear coat on a gloved hand and poured just a bit on the area and spread it out with a foam brush. This helped protect it and I could control the shine by removing as much as I wanted while leaving enough protectant behind to be sure it stayed in good shape.I hope you found this helpful!

Nightmare of a product to use
The party was completely dried out when I got it. I tried to use it anyway to the best of my ability, but it didn't work. Very hard to use, very hard to mix. Colors did not come out correct. Every color I tried to use of the gray variety, wasn't incorrect match. The color matching system was absolutely ridiculous.

Very impressed with this product
I love this stuff. Ive bought this fix a few times over the past couple years. It is a perfect fix for any vinyl flooring. You can’t tell that anything has been done to the flooring. It looks the same as if it were new. Very impressed.

Saved me lots of grief with my landlord!
My mixer was mixing up a giant triple batch of bread while I walked away for just a second to get my daughters cup she dropped. Next thing I know my mixer has jumped off the counter and onto the floor, smashing a hole into our kitchen tile about the size of a silver dollar. I immediately started looking for a solution and came across this product.Just like the other reviewers have said, you need to have a bit of an artistic flair for matching colors but this product saved us a lot of grief with our landlords! The product comes with instructions on how to mix and match your colors and it even comes with a helpful sheet you can set right on the surface you are trying to match and will give you the amount of colors you need to mix with your putty in order to get the right color. It took me a couple of tries to match my tile color exactly but once I did the result is awesome! You can only notice if you are looking for it and the price definitely beats paying someone to come and put new flooring in! I will definitely be stocking this in my house because between a dog, kids and all my cooking equipment our floors definitely need patching up sometimes!

Good results, be prepared for off chart blending
I’m an artist and found colour matching challenging if you use just the chart. If you use chart for a reference for average amount of drops and which colour drops to use according to colour chart, then alter drops to match your damaged product. if you stick with colour chart you will be disappointed. The finished result was satisfying. I also think it depends on what type of material you’re trying to fix. But I would recommend it.
