* Have you had any experience with this utility before? This is the start of my 5 th year using this utility, and I feel more secure with this repeatedly purchased software. Just note that when going online, use HTTPS, the secure protocol. The 'doubling - up' on protection is better, yes, but not really required unless you're roaming and computing? My Dell 8500 XPS, i7, bought new on 26 October 2012, the day Windows 8 was released to the public, struggles somewhat with this utility. It can take several minutes to connect at times. This is due to my PC's age. You will be ok with a newer by a few years PC. It just popped up in my email that an advanced warning about the NordVPN licence was to expire. So I chose to buy it through Amazon. Amazon quickly - less than a few minutes- sent me an email with its activation code. I printed this out and switched from my Standard account to an Administrative account to install this. If this is your first experience with NordVPN, you need to set up an account with them. As a repeat customer, I logged in to my account. I found that my account wasn't registering that I had purchased through Amazon. Print out the Amazon Digital Delivery Confirmation in your email account, the one with the activation code on. Look at the bottom of the printout for this link. It says Go to my.nordaccount.com/activate and follow the prompts. Enter the activation code. I had bought my new one before the previous one ended. So scroll down to see 'skip this for subscription' and download the options. If you've downloaded this already, then just select download again, and it sets it up for you. * What is it like? The G.U.I. is redesigned and has performance updates. The two features of Threat Protection and File Sharing I turned off. The first stopped my YouTube Premium account from accessing its services. There are features under Threat Protection Pro: Anti-Malware, Advanced Browser Protection, and Advanced Tracker Blocker. Each of these three main operations has several subsettings to fine-tune your desired responses for your web sessions. These can be turned off as well as on. I am trying these again, as before they fought with YouTube Premium content, and it was better to turn these off. It's been three or more weeks since using its security settings on, and they are working without faults so far. If you see a tiny red dot twice on the NordVPN G.U.I. on its left-hand side, it's prompting you that an update is available, and you can manually update this now. NordVPN shuts down. Then restarts with the new edition running now. Based on previous ownership for two years before this version, this is expected to provide better security and performance fixes. A great feature is called Dark Web Monitor. This watches if your information becomes exposed on the dark web. My speed is usually close to 10 Meg / Sec slower using NordVPN and when not using it. Every few months, a new version is automatically downloaded onto my PC. It sensibly has the features turned off when downloaded. You have a choice to activate the features or not. * Problems and their solution? On rare occasions, NordVPN occasionally stopped responding in Windows 10. I investigated the support files on the NordVPN website, which, when applied, helped me sort out the problems independently. If you cannot get the application to appear on the desktop, * Go to the application listing. And find and click on 'NordVPN Diagnostic', and let it respond. If you are working in a standard account, you may be requested to enter your password to authorise this change. * If it's still not working, see and select in the Application tree, 'NordVPN Diagnostic', then click on 'Network Flush'. Reboot. It's useful to reboot after clicking on EACH of those. As it will not work as designed if you do not reboot after each operation. * And try the application again. If this is retested, does not repair the problem, then click and select from 'NordVPN diagnostics' and click on 'Reset the App'. And then reboot. * If it still will not work, you need to go to your Administrative level account, 'Control Panel', select 'Programs and Features', and then click on and uninstall this application. Then click on and download from the NordVPN website the latest ' NordVPN installer for Windows.' And install this again. These methods are from the help files provided by NordVPN and have worked for me. Just another word. I had to apply a recovery of a system image on 26 April 2026, of an April system image, and my NordVPN licence was not recognised. I was only given another two-year subscription. I declined. These tips I suggested didn't work this time. I didn't check whether I could download from NordVPN. So I could have tried to download and check. I could have made a mistake and not checked. I've bought from AVG VPN and am using this instead. * Summary The utility makes for a more secure online session. Its most protective use is when on a laptop and in a public unencrypted WiFi network, like a cafe, an airport or a cinema. My cousin put me on VPNs. Paying for a VPN, such as NordVPN, makes for a more secure online session. It's better to use a paid one than a free one. Even the premium antivirus, you know the ones, can have a flaky free VPN. I recommend buying a subscription to such services for reliable protection.

Easy customer experience and good product

Price was attractive because it was purchased as an occasional use item (back stretch exercises for poor posture) not as a gym/yoga class mat. I would guess that the mat wouldn't stand up to regular vigorous use but that isn't an issue in this instance. I am 15st / 95kg ish, and so far, after 25-30 uses, it isn't showing any wear.

Have used before NordVPN, good price and product

I have been using ipvanish for 3 years and had no problems at all. I am on 1GB internet ant my speed is always constant 980-1gb. When the vpn is connected it rarely drops below 850mb. Lately my vpn has been disconnecting and I can’t use it. I have ran through troubleshooting with them and they couldn’t fix it keep saying it was a problem my end. 1 day it would work fine for a few days then not at all for a day or so. Anyway I decided to give up and try someone else. After reading the reviews I thought I will go with a good provider instead of a cheap one. Purchased Nord from Amazon a year subscription. As you can see from the pictures. 1 is my internet speed with nord turned off. The other 2 are when the vpn is turned on and connected to 2 different servers. 1 was fastest available and the other was USA fastest available. As you can see pathetic so I wouldn’t bother buying. Update after using for a few months its still the same it says connected to the internet and it wont even load webpages up. if I remote desktop into the computer downstairs which has nord running on it I get kicked every few minutes. honestly don't bother its useless and customer service say its my computer I have 3 computers in the house all wired tried on every one of them and its the same i have also tried it on my laptop connected to a 5g router and its the same. internet in the house works perfect without the nord VPN turned on as soon as I turn it on to access a site I need forget it.
