My dog no longer hates having pedicures!
I wouldnโt normally review nail clippers, but this one is special. I have a miniature poodle who is now one. Since she was a puppy, she would show she was uncomfortable and didnโt love having her nails cut. I wondered if it was the clippers and so decided to give these ago. Honestly, itโs a whole different experience. The clippers seem sharper and so glide through the nail like butter. I can take little bits off at a time, and go slow enough so I avoid making a click sound when I cut through her nail. She no longer pulls her paw away, and has started to sleep while I do her nails. This obviously makes me think the old clippers were hurting her by perhaps putting pressure on her nail. These ones are much better in that sense. And from my own perspective, the handles feel nice and grippy. They feel sturdy to use. I like that it has a lock mechanism for safety, and do the job really well. If youโre looking for a good set of clippers for a small dog, go for these!

A very good and sharp set of cutters.
I really like these cutters, unlike many I've used these were sharp straight out of the box, prior to this I've had ones that struggle to cut and required dismantling and sharpening, they've looked sharp but once you start the job proved to be a different story. It's no fun finding out whilst holding on to a big old labrador while he wonders what the hell you're doing to his feet. My dog is really old now and can't get around very well so his nails aren't wearing like they used to, I only used to ever have to cut his dew claws but now it's a full set, my old cutters always left a fair bit of filing to do and my dog hated that bit, these manage a somewhat cleaner cut and involve only minor filing, in some cases I've not had to file at all. They're comfortable in use and the cut limiter (which helps prevent you cutting to low) is handy as I'm always fearful of cutting too low. I'm no expert but all in all I'd happily recommend these cutters to those with larger dogs.

Very sharp and allows fine shavings
I found the tool to be very good quality and well made. My WCS, Joe, has black nails, so I have to creep-up on to the quick, fine shavings allows me to do this without fear of actually cutting the quick. The little depth-stop is okay, in theory, but actually hampers the view which, ironically, could lead to cutting too deep. It's not a drama, as it can be swung out of the way. Otherwise, a really useful tool.

Super sharp!
My dog has an absolute dread of getting her nails cut, so I decided to order the Safari PROFESSIONAL DOG NAIL TRIMMERS after reading some positive reviews online. I found these trimmers much easier to use than the guillotine style nail clippers I had been using before and they really are super sharp so they give the nail a quick clean cut. My dog still hates getting her nails done, so don't expect these trimmers to be a miracle cure for a nervous dog - however they are a good size and easy to use, so they at least eliminate some of the stress of the experience!

Top clips
A bit pricier than some clippers on the market but these are an excellent pair of claw trimmers. The handles are very ergonomic and comfortable to grip despite the relatively small size, plus there is a backing plate that can be moved into place to prevent you from cutting too much of the claw and cutting the quick. They are nice and sharp and they make a good, clean cut. My dog doesn't mind me touching her feet or feeling between her toes normally but when I get a pair of clippers out, she is a reluctant participant, so the design of these clippers means that I can clip claws whilst she's standing on all fours and less able to whip a foot out of the way!

A must for trimming dog's nails!
Easy to use, much better than previous trimmers purchased. Comfortable to hold, the safety guard great to prevent cutting of the quick. Nail trimming not the chore it used to be and more pleasant for the dog too! Delivered promptly before due date and good price. Great buying experience all round!

Already had identical clippers (Mikki branded)
As above, I ordered these and found they are identical to Mikki clippers, just a different colour. However, this doesn't take away anything from them. They're perfectly good, I just wanted something a bit bigger. Sharp, work well. The double-bladed cutter isn't anything unique though, I have three pairs of clippers in all and they all have it.

Great choice for a much better grooming experience!
If I could add a 6th star, I would! My dog is a 40lb, mid-aged gs/husky mutt. She has black nails and thankfully allows me to cut them. I'd been using the same nail snipper for years and had started to wonder if the blades may have dulled and were causing her any discomfort. Happily I had a second pair squirreled away that I had seldom used and ... That one was worse! Both were cheaper ones I'd purchased on Amazon in a similar style as this one. Imagine my surprise when I spent a little more and made sure the scissor was appropriate for the nail of a larger dog! The old ones would create a 'snap!' sound and feeling as I clipped through the nail. This one just went through like butter! Easier on my hands, my dog's nails, and so easy to operate! The slight indentation where the nail is centred to clip creates a bit of a blind spot, but these snippers go through so easily I just intentionally look to feed a tiny bit of nail at a time and then re-assess if another snip is warranted. My dog has a calcium rich diet as she is raw fed. I knew her coat and teeth were in healthy condition because of that, but, it never occurred to me that her nails might be extra strong as well. Happy to have found a much sharper, stronger tool to make this routine activity less stressful for both of us!

Sharp, lightweight, and comfortable
My favorite brand of nail clippers. These work well for both small to medium-large dogs. They stay sharp forever and they are very comfortable in your hand. As a professional groomer I highly recommend these. For the price you are getting something that is very high quality that stands the test of time. I put a little clipper oil by the blade junction like I do with my scissors for maintenance.

Small good clippers
The item is quite small. So big hands may find it awkward to use when treating the animal.
