Sometimes I have to put this thing to work when doing a PM after one of the new kids has something to prove. It's a little awkward to use with the offset of the handle in tight spaces, but it works. Seems of good quality and has a good grip on filters

If you are unlucky enough to live in a place with really hard water this tool is a 'plumber saver' from emergency calls. If you are also unlucky enough to have a nuvo h2o system in a hard water area this can be a necessity. Every six months you get a refill cartridge for the h2o system and by then the collar has welded iteself on with crud that the h2o system is suppossed to prevent. So, you can't remove the collar with the cheap plastic tool that comes with the system so you then can't change the cartridge. Good luck contacting nuvo by email - they never answer and if you call them, it's use a hair dryer or call a plumber. So DURATECH to the rescue! This tool breaks loose the collar and works on other plastic and metal pipes. Has already saved 5 time the price in plumber calls and only had it less than a week. What a great proiduct.

it was strong and a good product and good for an open area, but in tighter spots, it was harder to maneuver

I’ve yet to use the tool, but when I went to perform the task that I purchased the tool for, i quickly surmised that both notches for the chain-link ends to seat would not adequately seat on one side. One side was fine. So, I’m currently filing down the poorly-notched side in hopes the tool will adequately grab the chain. Purchased to hold shock absorbers while I loosen the nut on top. This $16 option seemed a value, and good alternative to heating up the nuts at top with a $130+ tool, but having to fix a tool built on durability prior to usage seems to me, a freaking nuisance, at best.

Use this to turn some oil field pipe while making a fence. Without a doubt, it would turn any piece of rusty pipe with minimal effort. It feels pretty durable like it’s gonna be around for a while, even after being used hard.

What an excellent wrench for those large diameter pipes or just about anything you can wrap the chain around.

As a diesel mechanic I was tired of paying high tool truck prices. I’ll admit I was skeptical at first but soon learn it’s great quality with a great price!
