Unfortunately the first few days were all about experimentation and trial and error, which means that I had to waste a bunch of capsules I figured out how to use them effectively for my cat. At first we started with 1 capsule per 100g of food for a few days, nothing happened. Then I went up to 2 capsules per 100g of food, and within 2 days my cat had solid stools again. For the first 2 days he ate the powder mixed in with his wet food. I noticed he would drool a bit, probably due to the taste/texture of the powder left in his mouth. Then he developed an aversion to eating the enzymes (at first I thought it was an aversion to the type of food, so tried a few different food types and had to throw them all out along with the enzymes mixed in). After about 2 weeks of trial and error, we developed a routine that works for both me and my cat, and his stools have been stable and solid. Our routine: I give him 50g of food at a time, let him eat it, then mix in 1 capsule in a syringe with a bit of water and a bit of pureed pumpkin. As soon as he is done eating I gently and slowly squeze the liquid into the side of the mouth/cheeck. So I have two comments specifically for individuals who are going through this for the first time - 1) be patient. Try different doses before saying it doesnt work. Stick with the dose for 2-3 days. If no improvement happens, try another dose and stick with that for 2-3 days, etc. 2) Speak with your vet. Don't use this product or other products by yourself, because you may be missing the diagnosis completely.
