Really like this pencils Feels good in the hand. Looks great. Mechanism works reliably. The cap snaps over the writing end to protect the lead and your purse. The only thing I don't like is the pocket clip (which I don't use) but makes you have to hold the pencil with it rotated out of the way so it doesn't dig into your hand.

As an accountant, this is the model of Pentel pencil that I have used for many, many years. There is none better for me.

i’m a mechanical pencil "enthusiast' lol. i buy practically every one i come across looking for a few things. 1) portability i.e., being able to keep it in my pocket and not have it either stab me in the thigh, or break in half. 2) comfort/ergonomics. weight and balance is important. when you write as much as i do hand fatigue becomes an actual issue. 3) build quality. i want to know that this thing, which to be fair is rather expensive for 1 pencil, is going to be able to be fixed should the collet get jammed. well, it checks all of those boxes! the portability issue is solved by the clever design. and bonus, when it's in writing mode the eraser actually gets pushed up, unlike a lot of other pencils where the eraser is constantly getting pushed down into the sleeve. it's SUPER comfortable in hand and out of all of my pencils it's by far the most ergonomic. the build quality is great and only once has the collet jammed on me, which was easy to remedy. i just carefully took it apart completely, cleaned everything, and boom.. back in business. also pro tip: keep the cap on the pocket clip when you're using it and you *probably* won't lose it. that said, other reviewers have said the pencil doesn't work without the cap, which is completely false, it just looks nicer in your pocket with it on edit: almost a year later and still going strong.. i actually purchased another one just in case

This is a favorite design - I now have 3 in different colors and lead sizes. The cap and the shorter length makes it easier to pocket carry than many drafting pens. The lead deployment is flawless on both the 0.5 and 0.7 mm models. The 0.5 mm works well for crossword puzzles. Pentel mechanical pencils are hard to fault and have remained consistent quality over the decades.

This was one of the most stylish and elegant mechanical pencils that I could find. Bought a few in different colors and gave as gifts. The cap covers the sharp point so that pockets are not damaged. Includes built in eraser. Ergonomic with a top button to advance the lead. Well-priced. The color finishing was slightly uneven, but it was mostly noticeable in the olive color pencil. But this was not at all a deal breaker and would purchase again.

I love my Kerry pencils, I have a few that I keep in my bag for work and a couple at home. These are built very well and are durable. These fit my hand well. I recommend these for anyone looking for a quality pencil that will not break the bank. I have used much more expensive pencils and nothing beats these!

The mechanical pencil is nice. BUT it doesn't include the erasure as mentioned in the description! Beware of this neglected detail. I tried to go through customer service to fix the problem, but could find no good avenue to pursue a good and proper fix. I just want the erasure!

I love the color & style hence the 4 stars. It's beautiful. But that's about it. I have used zebra mechanical pencils for decades and thought to try something new. After perusing several reviews I opted for this one based on the weight of the pencil and the materials used. I chose the metal construction - there is a less expensive model made of plastic - but the metal construction is lighter than the zebra one; and the depth of the lead is much softer & barely visible - it uses 0.5mm. I don't think this pencil lives up to the hype or justifies the asking price. I would not buy this again or recommend it.
