Having no holes means you can have the strap exactly as tight or slack as your wish... in theory! You fasten the strap as you would a normal strap but just push the metal prong through the strap wherever you wish - because it's woven it will 'find' a hole without damaging. It takes a bit of practise because the prong has a tendancy to move side-to-side (see my pics, one is a close-up of the buckle and prong leaning to one side) and of course the strap will go slightly slacker once the prong fully passes through the strap and hitches into place on the buckle. If you hardly ever take your watch off then it's no biggie, and if you regularly take your watch off (as I do) then you will get used to it (or hate it! I don't mind it.)A niggle: It's difficult to pass the strap through the second part of the buckle (the first 'retainer') so I just bypass that and put the strap though the second retainer only, which is nylon. It's no big problem because the second retainer does hold the strap but I feel it is poor design just like the wobbly prong. Another issue is that the strap is discolouring somewhat on an area right below the watch face. I have no idea why and it's not dirt/sweat/whatever because I have tried to clean it off. It could be caused by sunlight maybe?!Another niggle: The pointed end of the strap has some kind of sealant on the inside to stop it from fraying (see pics), it doesn't look very nice but you don't see it when the strap is in place. And basically that's what this strap boils down to... its looks. The woven nylon just looks really cool! I've never seen anyone with a simialr watch strap. I picked a sand colour and it just about perfectly matches my daily-wear, a Japanese Seiko 5 auto in desert colours. Ok, taste is subjective but if you don't like the look of this strap then why read the reviews..? :DIf this was a 20+ quid strap I'd not give it 5 stars and I would probably return it. But at this price, it's pretty good value for money, and as I say it's all about the design and looks of the woven nylon.
