This is MEGA's second desert-themed troop pack for the Call of Duty line, so much of this review will be comparing it to that first line. Here goes: Pros: - Some of the head sculpts are a bit more rare to get than the previous desert themed set - the new style cap with shades, the boonie hat, and the balaclava are all a little outside of normal grasp - the cap and shades has an equivalent in the new drone set, the boonie hat with the Sniper Unit, and the balaclava with the Covert Ops, but they're not nearly as common as the previous gas masks or night vision goggles are. - The weaponry is an exquisite blend which would perfectly compliment the old desert pack - the sniper rifle and rocket launcher have been featured in the previous wave well enough (though not as easy to get that shade of rocket launcher), the weapon without the drum magazine is cropping up in the newer sets but was not widely used beforehand, and the rifle with the drum magazine is brand new - this is the most affordable you will find it at. - After a lack of care packages, your standard blend comes built in with this set. It's a small thing but a nice little inclusion. - The scenery blend is small but nice - the leanto mesh tarp covering is decent and there are enough sandbags to play around with. - Some of the figures have a lighter sandy colored outfit rather than the dusty tan versions more common nowadays. Feels good to have more desert variety. Cons: - This season is the start of the "one less figure" wave of sets. It's somewhat sad that overall they raise the MSRP and you get less for your dollar. I understand inflation, but coupling the inflation with less is not a good tactic. - While you get the care packages contents, there's no package itself. It's not the end of the world but would have been a nice inclusion. Even these flaws though do not dampen the contents of this set. I wholly recommend it to any who have purchased previous Call of Duty sets and want to update their collection and newcomers alike.
