I wish I would’ve looked at the reviews for this product before purchasing… but I mean, it’s really hard to mess these up. Put the fresh pineapple pieces in the freeze dryer, and hit on! kind of like pizza, Really hard to mess that up.. but somehow these pineapple chips fall into that category. As people have mentioned, there is a very distinct strange chemical type odor/taste. Before these arrived, I had discovered this may be an issue with other people, mentioning the odor… ..was really hoping they just tasted like a normal freeze dried pineapple piece. But no, that strange smell hits you like a that strange smell hits you like a ton of bricks once you open the pouch. It’s actually a little scary because who knows what that particular scent or flavor is and if it could cause any internal damage. Surely some gastrointestinal distress! I choked down a few pieces, but unfortunately, the rest went into the garbage. Very strange,… have never encountered this before with freeze dried fruit,…but definitely check out a different brand or save your Money!

These are so tasty. Love freeze dried fruit; especially pineapple. Only negative is the package is small with a small amount of pineapple chips. It’s like a small bag of potato chips. Ate one bag in one sitting. So good. Kinda pricey though for such a small amount.

I opened one of the 2 bags and was hit in the face with a very strong chemical odor. I absolutely would not eat this product. I asked "RUFUS" how the manufacturer extracts water from this product. "RUFUS" said a number of people had the same complaint and suggested I share this information as well as return the product.

Great flavor, underneath the texture that gives me a bit of the goosebumps.. or heebee jeebies.. and not the fun kind.. But I do like to add them to my protein smoothies.. and the quality is great so I’m ordering some other flavors. I think the texture is just the freeze drying process itself so it isn’t a knock on the brand or anything.. just a personal preference and likely applies across the board, regardless of flavor/produce being freeze dried.. or company/brand or whatnot. But looking beyond my own relation to the texture.. it’s a great flavor, nice size pieces, and overall great quality.. especially relative to cost.
