Review: Near expiry date - Nearing the end of its best before date ! Even tastes as though they are old. Shame! For the price it shouldnt and one should be informed if thats the batch being sold.

I assume it’s a yogurt type coating, as it’s there’s no chocolate or cocoa listed in the ingredients. These taste sweeter than other Quest bars, but that’s not a bad thing. I admit I was a bit dubious about buying these due to them being birthday cake flavour, but having tried them I think they’ll make a nice change to my normal ones.

**Q: How do the birthday cake quest bars taste? i'm confused has the company changed the formula of the quest bars? why are people finding mold on the bars**

The birthday cake quest bars' flavor tastes just like a vanilla cake with frosting. Personally I love the taste of the Birthday Cake bar the best, but that's me! (Justin) We changed our formula almost 2 years ago when we changed our fiber source so there is nothing recent as far as formulation change, this is just a new flavor we're trying out! As far as the mold goes though, we do not use any preservatives in our bars, and we don't expect mold to grow within the 'best by' period -but in some rare cases that does happen, and we open a quality assurance report as well as honor a replacement. I assume it’s a yogurt type coating, as it’s there’s no chocolate or cocoa listed in the ingredients. These taste sweeter than other Quest bars, but that’s not a bad thing. I admit I was a bit dubious about buying these due to them being birthday cake flavour, but having tried them I think they’ll make a nice change to my normal ones.
