Likely I had bought them when, close on 20years ago, I used to do a lot of walking/hiking. I am now 78 years old so no longer do this. However I started wearing them regularly and loved them so much I wanted another pair. I bought these new socks because, from the description of these, they seemed to be very similar to the old pair. Suffice to say that, likely because of the merino wool, they keep your feet and calves very warm and, unlike other slightly thicker socks I have, your feet DO NOT sweat i.e. your feet stay DRY and therefore WARM at all times. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would recommend *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 24 April 2017* Would recommend.
