kebab
Brilliant little machine, this is my second purchase of this machine, to replace the one that had finally given up the ghost, the first one lasted about 8-9 years, cooks a whole chicken perfectly, I would say this is value for money and it was used regularly , only downside it can be a bit fiddly to clean, this is a present for my husband who misses the one that died, there is an hour timer on the front which pings when it has finished, I have actually cooked kebab meat and I have made my own chicken kebab on a spit, cooks lovely, good size for a household and looks good too.

Quest 34020 Electric Rotisserie Grill/Kebab very good but!!!
My rotary spit arrived well packaged, with all parts present and in working order. I cooked a maroccan inspired meal and it turned out very well. There are a number of negatives, one negative is that there is no way to set temperature, even though temperature is mentioned when reading the instructions. You need to check the inside temperature of meat cooking, so buy a temperature probe if you haven't got one already. Secondly, the positioning of the Rotisserie when in use cannot not be with 4 inches of over head kitchen cupboards and away from a wall, so the only safe place I can use it is on my hob. So I can't use my hob while using it. Good job I have air fryers where I can cook the other parts of the meal. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, which means storage when not in use could be a problem in a small kitchen, or in my case, overhead cupboards, you can't store it underneath. It is easy to use, and to clean inside, the handle slides off so you are able to push the door all the way around to access every bit of it for cleaning. The removable parts are dishwasher friendly. I like it, but I want to add, today is the first time I used it. If I come across any faults in the future I will come back and add comments

Become a donner lord/lordette
Inside this machine you can house a whole large chicken. And it cooks such a thing wonderfully meaning the meat is succulent and very well chickeney. I have made a full on kebab a mini elephants leg and it cooked that really well too. It's easy to use and is what I could only describe as a food revelation. It's reasonably easy to clean the only thing I would add is make sure your chicken legs and wings are secure or they will end up flying about the place like a bambi on ice.

Mixed view; cooks well, difficult to clean
Edit to add: I’ve revisited this review after 4 weeks as I’m returning the rotisserie. The red plastic cover over the power button has cracked and fallen out. Prior to that, the light no longe worked when the unit was switched on. Also, when the door is opened, it continues to cook. It’s supposed to shut off. I’ve lost confidence in the quality and don’t recommend this item. Downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star. I had a Moulinex table top oven rotisserie for over 30 years. It cooked chicken or meat skewers to perfection. I’ve spent a while looking for a replacement and chose an upright as I’m short of worktop space and this wins on small footprint for work surface. It’s a bit of a mixed bag which I’ll summarise. Set up is fairly simple. Make sure you skewer the chicken as far as possible to the top of the spit to ensure maximum exposure to the heated element. Fitting the spit into the top and bottom slots is fiddly. Difficult when cold. Really difficult at the end of cooking when you want to remove the food and leave it to rest. I basted frequently during cooking and in terms of taste and moisture of the end product, it was excellent. No complaints about how the meat cooked and it was done to perfection. I’ve yet to try skewered meat and I’m thinking of putting chicken wings onto the skewers. I’ll update once I’ve tried this. Downside; as above, not easy to remove the chicken from the grill at end of cooking. My main concern is ease of cleaning. It’s really difficult to clean the inside of the sliding glass door. It’s impossible to access some of the metal reflective plate by and behind the grill bars, so any food residue or fat can’t be cleaned off. The element can be wiped once cool. The drip tray is easy enough to remove and clean and is dishwasher safe. The metal accessories are lightweight, but acceptable. There’s also a ridge below the sliding glass door and that’s tricky to clean. Timer and end of cook circuit alarm work fine. Overall, food cooking is good maintenance of the grill is difficult if you want to ensure it’s cleaned thoroughly.

Very good value for money
Very good value for money. I lost the rotisserie for my air frier and the replacement just for the spit and forks alone was half the price of this machine. When i also considered that i also have to deep clean the air frier after cooking anything on the rotisserie as it lingers and i also cant cook any side dishes in the air frier as a rotisserie takes up the whole thing so having a standalone device specifically for this purpose is extremely helpful. I wasnt expecting much for £50 so i was pleasantly surprised with how well it was packaged and especially by how sturdy the machine appeared, very little plastic except the switches and very functional. I was concerned because the door handle seemed a bit insecure but this is to make it easily removable which is extremely helpful for cleaning and storage. In terms of performance i never expect these products to deliver in the times advertised even with the more high end devices so i wasnt at all surprised or dismayed when my chicken took 80mins rather than the suggested 30, though in fairness to the manufacturer this was for a medium sized chicken and i do enjoy mine on the more crispy side(see picture for reference) better safe than sorry with chicken. I would advise you to rotate the chicken on the spit halfway through for more even cooking as the top is a lot hotter than the bottom though this is not completely necessary its more of a personal preference. When removing the chicken for either rotating or to serve the spit will be very hot and the drip tray full so the best way i found to remove the spit is to take a folded slightly damp tea towel(oven mits are far too clumsy) and use this to lift the very top of the spit up and out, have a plate infront of the machine ready. Cleaning is very straight forward, after you remove the door handle the door will swing around 360○ and there are no particularly tough to get to areas
