It’s life in a cup. Five stars.
Unreal how quickly this arrived. Ordered on night of 16 and in my letterbox on the 20th posted direct from Japan. Now the tea-At first I was pleased to see that it was in a vacuum sealed pouch which to memeans the tea is as fresh as possible. I can assure you it is fresh.I was surprised at how broken the leaves were. Lots and lots of little fragments and dust. I didn’t let this bother me as everything I have read about the tea indicates that it is of the highest quality. I was not disappointed with the brew.Use 70c water. First steep about 40 seconds before pouring. Deep spring green color in the cup.Delicate aroma. No bitterness. Very slightly astringent on first steep, still juicy and fresh tasting. Bursting with theanine. Many label Sencha as “grassy”. This is not a grassy taste. I would say it is “green”. Loads of good tea flavor and definitely a balance I have not found in Sencha before. Deeper true green leaves rather than bright green. Soft, tender leaves indicated that the quality is first-rate.Second steep. 20 seconds. Same beautiful, deep green and no loss of flavor. In fact, it gained body. This is, surprisingly, a full-bodied tea. Feels like you’re taking it with milk when it is consumed. That is the mouthfeel, soft, smooth, creamy, yet delicate.I will be ordering more to compare the varieties from Ocha & Co. Thank you for a pleasant experience. One I will be talking about for a long time.I am a huge tea enthusiast, not a tea expert. Honestly, everything I know about tea led me to believe that the many broken leaves were a sign that it was not what I was after. In fact, it is the tea I wanted. It is slightly better than what I thought it would be. For the quantity and quality, I am quite sure this is the best value in the United Kingdom. My opinion is that this tea is the finest tea that maybe doesn’t make the grade for appearance. Getting perfect tea would cost 5x that much. This is not what I am after. I wanted a daily drinker and I found something that far exceeded my expectations of what I could get on this island of people who can’t seem to appreciate tea without milk and sugar.Nutritionally, it is the most amazing tea I have found. Feels like putting life in your body.Five stars without reservation.

Kabusecha for sceptic
I haven’t lived in Japan, nor being too knowledgable in green teas. Nevertheless, this one made my day. And will probably keep on doing it every morning. Rich green colour, mild and pleasant taste, well presented. And - surprise! - ordered on Friday it arrived Tuesday morning, directly from Japan. The chacras open, mind’s pleased, body’s light. Thank you very much.

the Premium Organic Japanese Fukamushi Deep Steamed Sencha Loose Leaf is much more nicer in taste. I would recommended to a friend

Great quality tea
I have lived Japan for a few months in Shizuoka and drink various types of tea there daily.I missed drinking green tea after coming back to uk since black tea does not cut it for me.I can assure you that this tea is high quality and ocha has earned a regular customer.

Feels like home
Unable to visit Japan at the moment..I decided to top up my supply of “ocha” (tea) with this.... every mouthful just felt like home. Using my traditional Japanese tea pot with inbuilt strainer, I had no problem with the smaller particles of tea leaves. If anything, any small bits that did fall through the gaps added flavour to my tea. I would advise a fine mesh tea strainer for those of you that prefer not to have too much fall through. I don’t mind personally.Warming, comforting, full of health benefits it has been a delight. Thank you for sending a little piece of home to me and my family. Domo arigatou :0)
