Fantastic knife for the money, you can do pretty much everything you need in the kitchen with a good chefs knife like this. Very sharp, good grip and holds a great edge. My only nitpick is I hoped it would have a heavier blade. If I ever need to replace it I might look at the broad bladed version for extra weight.

I have had a version of this knife for more than ten years, and it's still my favourite knife. Realised there was no reason not to buy duplicates so if one was in the wash (Dishwasher safe! Hooray!) I'd still have another. And so it has proved. This new version has a slightly different handle but it is still easy to hold. The curve of the blade enables a lovely rocking action that is great for fine chopping. And being brand new it is more than razor sharp - I've only cut myself on it once so far, brushing against the blade, and fortunately it was no worse than a paper cut. Judging by the old one's persistence I have every reason to believe this knife will still be cutting beautifully in twenty year's time.

Wonderful knife. Comfortable and holds an edge really well, perfect if you are a commercial chef who wants a workhorse blade that will last and hold it's own against pricier options or a home cook who wants to splash out a little on a knife that will probably last you a lifetime and is loads better than the weird, gimmicky knives you can buy at most home supply shops.

I really didn’t know what good quality sharp blades were meant to feel like until I came across these. So light and sharp and has improved my cutting technique greatly. Now cutting fruit and vegetables is done with ease and I no longer dread it. The price is incredible and I will never buy supermarket ones while these are on the market !

This is not my first Victorinox knife, so I am familiar with their quality. I use it at work in a restaurant and at home. Very satisfied. I recommend

Easy to sharpen, holds an edge well. I like the plastic handle that ensures a solid grip even when my hands are wet. The knife is an excellent size for every day household use, or use in a commercial kitchen. The light weight means my wrist doesn't get sore when prepping extensively.

Muy buen cuchillo.

J'ai acheté ce couteau il y a ~8 mois en me mettant au wok par curiosité, sans conviction vu la punition que ça réclamait niveau préparation des ingrédients où préparer/tailler prend des plombes. Depuis que je l'ai: ça découpe, ça taille, ça émince, ça cisèle, etc ... à fond la gomme et avec précision ! Je m'en sers aussi pour découper la viande en cubes ou en lamelles, ou tout ce qui me passe entre les mains, un vrai bonheur !!!! J'avais un set de plein de couteaux payés une blinde qui ne coupaient rien, préparer un repas était une tannée pour moi, depuis je n'utilise que celui-là et un serviteur, besoin de rien d'autre!!! Jamais aiguisé, le tranchant commence (à peine) à s'émousser (un peu). Mes ongles sont ravis, il est tellement tranchant que j'en ai perdu quelques bouts au début (pas habitué à ça), idem pour les éponges au nettoyage. Au bout de 8 mois et un bon quintal de légumes/viande sur une plaque de découpe plastique: franchement je n'en attendais pas tant !! Micro bémol qui est la rançon du succès: le manche plastique est un peu inconfortable à la prise en main, au bout d'une heure ça devient gênant. Ceci dit... je n'ai jamais eu l'occasion d'utiliser un autre couteau pendant une heure :'D Accessoirement j'ai des grosses paluches, pour les gabarits "standards" je recommanderais les tailles en dessous, plus légers et plus maniables en utilisation quotidienne. Une amie petit gabarit a voulu s'en servir, en exagérant on aurait dit qu'elle portait une épée :D Donc gaffe à choisir la bonne la taille, mais clairement c'est du super matos grâce auquel je mange des légumes et du fait maison tous les jours depuis, en ayant découvert le plaisir de préparer et, derrière, le plaisir de cuisiner. Hors de question de revenir aux plats industriels d'avant. Certes ce n'est pas un simple ustensile qui change une vie mais, parfois, avoir le vrai bon outil au bon moment peut faire la différence ;) Merci pour la qualité du matos
