The flavour is like a poor quality cold brew coffee, but the effectiveness with the caffeine was worth it. Helped me to stay alert without feeling wired, and no side affects such as racing heart beat.

As long as you really like coffee this is the one for you. It will give you that little boost mid ride,you do need to wash it down with a little water as like most gels it sticks in your mouth.

First off, these work - they've given me a stamina boost when I thought I was just too zonked to do any gym, and you feel that caffeine pep-up pretty quickly after downing one. That's not surprising, as the science behind them is what makes the difference in the company's other great workout product, Science in Sport 60 ml Go Isotonic Energy Gel Selection Box - Pack of 20 . The espresso flavour that I tried just isn't as pleasant and easy-to-down as the fruit variety pack, though, and I found there was a bit of a lingering aftertaste, so I'll probably be sticking with the fruity ones. For carbs + caffeine, though, you can't get a much easier boost than this.

Love SIS gels and been using regularly as easy to take and little mess. Need caffeine ones for my marathon. Tried these before a long run and omg, they taste foul! I love coffee, but these left a nasty taste. Couldnt shake it even 30mins into my run. They may be ok for some, but the after taste would really have me in a bad place on race day.

I’m not a coffee lover, but I was recommended these for my workouts. I used to feel nauseous after exercising, but after taking one of these, I felt energized enough to do the whole workout again! They’re great for recovery. I wouldn’t recommend using them outside of exercise or physical exertion, though.

I love a double espresso, and after nearly falling asleep while riding the Ride London 100, thought I'd try these out for those rare times I didn't get a coffee before setting out. Really didn't think it through that these would be really sweet coffee, which I really dislike, so the first time I used one, got that realisation, but got it down me all the same, and had just the energy I needed to get through to the end of that particular ride. While I still don't like sweet coffee, compared to some flavours, they're not bad and the caffeine definitely helps too. Found them good on the stomach so far, although not needed more than one in a ride.

La solita qualità dei gel SiS ma con una sapore decisamente più gradevole della media. Spesso succede che questi gel siano molto buoni quando sono freddi da frigo ma, una volta scaldati dal sole, diventino delle pappette pesanti e sgradevoli. Questo, viceversa, ha un sapore che si situa a metà tra il caffè e la cioccolata ed è quindi perfetto sia freddo che caldo. Più che consigliato!

Throw them in your vest or pocket. Great taste and a good clean kick during training or a race.
