Trying to save money on a pH meter has taught my a lesson. You can’t cheat quality and that’s what you get with the Jenco pH meter. After the nightmare of using the “cheaper” meters, the pH630F has been a game changer. Even though the price is a higher than the “cheap” ones, it’s still reasonable. The product comes with everything you need including the batteries unlike some other brands. The design is slick and sturdy. However, most importantly, the functionality is super easy to learn. There’s a video on their page and an instructions manual for reference. I would recommend this product for anyone who’s looking for best in class pH meter.

Because so many of these types of products look very similar, this particular product caught my eyes because of the company’s extensive experience in making this type of instruments. Do some research, check out these companies’ websites before purchase.Mostly I use this product for health reasons - measuring the pH of my drinking water and my urine and I have had this pH tester for over a month now, and it has been stable as a workhorse. Calibration is easy and I only do it about once a week or once every 10 days.

product is pretty accurate as far as i can tell (tested with a bluelabs ph pen). way better than the cheap yellow meters. reads quickly in .01 measurments. easy calibration.⚠⚠UPDATE⚠⚠ after using this meter for over three months i noticed that it does NOT stay calibrated for long. after two uses after calibration it was off by alot(see second photo). the solution is 6.86 and the meter reads 7.1. on last use, i measured, turned unit off, then turned back on and tested water again and the measurment was different... if you are going to use this meter, i recommend calibrating before EVERY use.i thought this was a step UP from the cheap "yellow" meters. was i wrong? i still gave two stars because its pretty accurate right after calibration...**⚠⚠UPDATE NUMBER 2⚠⚠**the more i use this thing, the more im unhappy with it. the accuracy of this meter is questionable considering that when i go to double check the ph, the reading is not the aame as the first time i checked. even after calibrating. at this point im calibrating before each use. not sure how others are calculating accuracy, but id barely say this is accurate.

This product seemed great for about a week. The precision and accuracy fell sharply after that and required constant calibrating despite storing in pH probe solution. After about three months the probe seemed to be dead; the monitor would raise errors on calibration.Unfortunately the selling point of a replaceable pH probe is useless if you can't actually find a replaceable probe anywhere. I've searched all of Amazon, ebay, and various other online retailers and distributors to no avail. The best I could find was an online quote from their website which I have still yet to receiver after months of waiting.I'm finally in need of another pH meter and I will be staying away from JENCO products.

After testing this product, I found the pH630FA meter to be useful in mixing my salt-based nutrients to use in my indoor garden. I tested it against an Apera meter and other cheaper ones and it has held the calibration well so far. Let's see what happens in the next 30/60/90 days. I suggest calibration once a month as I noticed other comments that weren't aware of that. The meter runs off of 2 LR44 batteries (which are included) which is nice. The backlight is also a handy feature. Overall, this seems like a very high quality instrument that I would recommend.

Review of: **JENCO pH630FA Digital pH Temperature Meter & High Accuracy Water Quality Tester, Pocket Size .01pH**I ordered this water quality tester primarily for testing my spa water, but unfortunately it only provides pH and temperature, and I don't need to test temperature. The key item missing is alkalinity, so I will need to continue using those annoying test strips that are often hard to get a clear reading from.This tester was also a bit of a pain to setup, requiring doing calibration first. The instructions were confusing along with the display on the tester itself, though I think I was able to successfully do a two-point calibration. It comes with two packets that let you create solutions with specific pH values for calibration. Unfortunately, you need deionized water to create these solutions, which required me spending about $17 to order a gallon of deionized water. This is not something sold at your local grocery store. And the instructions seem to indicate you need to recalibrate periodically, which means I will need to get more of the powder to use to create the calibration solutions.The other thing that was a bit annoying was that when testing my spa water, it seemed to take quite some time to stabilize, like around 30 seconds. This isn't terribly convenient.I really hoped to stop using test strips in favor of this tester, but that doesn't look like it is going to work. I'm going to keep trying, but right now think this is not the best solution for people wanting to test hot tubs or pools.

This pocket PH meter is a gem. It is very simple and easy to use. I have been quite pleased with the accuracy and reliability. This is a handy size for a winery and is water proof. It comes with a belt clip which I appreciate when I need my hands free and don't want to set it on the bench. It should be noted that the temperature reading choice for Celsius and Fahrenheit are factor preset. It is a manual calibration but it is very simple and quick. Love the price!

High quality product. Accurate and easy to use. Consistent results. I had a cheaper one that failed after 3 uses and decided to upgrade, very satisfied! Highly recommend
